Tonight, the Boston Bruins will look to pick up their second straight win after defeating the Calgary Flames on Thursday in overtime. After a second-round elimination from last year's playoffs, the Bruins are eager to make a deep playoff run this year. However, so far, they have struggled to find consistency this season.
As they look to keep the momentum rolling tonight, they will be without Andrew Peeke, who is considered to be week-to-week as of Thursday after a hit from Max Pacioretty. The hit took place earlier in the week when the Bruins were shut out by the Toronto Maple Leafs in a highly anticipated playoff rematch from last year.
With Peeke sidelined for tonight's game, the Bruins' lines are expected to be as follows:
Forwards:
- LW Brad Marchand - C Elias Lindholm - RW David Pastrnak
- LW Pavel Zacha - C Charlie Coyle - RW Justin Brazeau
- LW Trent Frederic - C Matthew Poitras - RW Tyler Johnson
- LW John Beecher - C Mark Kastelic - RW Cole Koepke
Defense:
- Charlie McAvoy - Nikita Zadorov
- Hampus Lindholm - Brandon Carlo
- Mason Lohrei - Parker Wotherspoon
Goalies:

- Joonas Korpisalo
Powerplay:
- Brad Marchand, Charlie Coyle, Elias Lindholm, David Pastrnak, Charlie McAvoy
- Justin Brazeau, Pavel Zacha, Tyler Johnson, Mason Lohrei, Hampus Lindholm

Boston Bruins coach Jim Montgomery opens up on team's inconsistency to start the year
After a second-round elimination from the Stanley Cup playoffs last year, the Boston Bruins entered this season eager to make their presence felt. While they won three of their first five games, they then lost four of their next five.
Since then, the team has gone 3-2 to push its season record to 7-7-1. However, despite posting a 3-1 record through the start of November, coach Jim Montgomery isn't ready to say their struggles are behind them just yet.
On Monday, prior to Boston's 4-0 shutout loss to the Maple Leafs, Montgomery spoke to media members about the team's inconsistency:
“I’m not there yet with that. Just being honest. There’s too many lapses in our game right now where we’re not a 60-minute team and we just need to continue to build it. We’re better, but we’re not where we need to be.
"I mean our special teams — the numbers are the numbers, right? And the players that get the privilege of either being on the penalty kill or power play — along with us coaches, need to be better with our plan, and we need to be better in our execution."
With just one point separating the Bruins in fourth place and the Maple Leafs in second place in the Atlantic Division, tonight's game will be a high-stakes affair for Montgomery's squad.
