Paul Bissonnette received high praise from former NFL star JJ Watt after getting into an insane 1 vs 6 brawl at a restaurant in Scottsdale, Arizona on Sunday.
Bissonnette was having dinner at Houston's restaurant when a group of six men got into an argument with the staff. Biz tried to help the restaurant employee, but they turned on him and a fight broke out both inside and outside the establishment.
Appearing on the Pat McAfee show, JJ Watt reacted to the story, wishing he had known about the incident earlier so he could have gotten involved.
"I wish I knew (about Biz's fight) earlier, cause it's about 3 minutes down the road from me. That would've been a lot of fun."
"Six dudes on one like Biz is a badass of badasses obviously," Watt said. “You take turns like a line like they're lighting the basket ball, where like my turn, now my turn. Six dudes surround the guy, I'm so confused, Biz spinning haymakers, just spinning around."
Despite being outnumbered, Bissonnette reportedly held his own and was not seriously injured. Meanwhile, the mugshots of the six assailants did not exactly strike fear into Watt.
"They didn't exactly look like Peaky Blinders out there, you know," Watt quipped. "They look like they've eaten their fair share of food and they think they're tough. But they clearly can't actually brawl."
Watt described the restaurant Biz was defending as being "fantastic" and "worth fighting for."
Paul Bissonnette sheds light on the situation
Paul Bissonnette posted a video on Monday to explain what happened during an altercation at Houston's restaurant. Bissonnette said there was a group at the family-friendly restaurant that was highly intoxicated and acting inappropriately.
Bissonnette mentioned that one person from the group was asked to leave by the staff. However, he confronted the manager aggressively and physically touched him for about 30 to 45 seconds.
The ex-NHLer felt compelled to intervene since no one else was stepping in to help the manager who seemed shocked by the encounter.
“So I went over. I just grabbed the guy's arm that was on him. I said, I said, 'Sir, if you continue to harass and assault the staff, we're gonna have problems.' And then they just started chucking, so it escalated extremely quickly."
Overall, Paul Bissonnette just wanted to share his side of the story on the events and provide some clarity about what transpired.
