NHL fans are discussing Linus Ullmark's injury after the Ottawa Senators recalled goalie Mads Sogaard. Insider Alex Adams tweeted about the recall for the Senators' 1 p.m. game against the LA Kings.
"Sens emergency recall Mads Sogaard from Belleville for today’s 1pm game against the LA Kings. All signs point to Linus Ullmark who missed some training camp being out with an injury. Unclear what the ailment is and the severity of it. #Sens," Adams tweeted on Friday.
Ullmark missed practice on Sunday for maintenance, raising concerns about whether he could play. Coach Travis Green initially said it was a routine day off, however, the recall of Sogaard suggests Ullmark may not be ready.
Fans reacted to the update on X.
"Heard he has Habs Fever," one fan jokingly tweeted, referring to the Senators' rivalry with the Montreal Canadiens.
"Lol, not only Habs whooped us but somehow Greig injured himself while trying to check Hutson and Ullmark also got injured? zzzzzzzzzz," another fan tweeted.
"Staios Knowing that why then did he give ullmark an extension before investing the severity and extent of the injury?" a fan tweeted.
"If he's not 100, then you absolutely call up Sogaard. They've got a few days between games," a fan tweeted.
