Columbus Blue Jackets alternate captain Zach Werenski and his fiancee Odette Peters took a trip to Egypt this week. On Tuesday, Odette shared a carousel of pictures from their vacay on her Instagram.
One of the pictures showed Zach and Odette riding camels with the Pyramids of Giza in the background. Zach wore a black t-shirt and khaki pants, while Odette had on a white top, black shorts and sunglasses. Both wore traditional Arab-style headscarves tied around their heads.
“Habibi Z 🐫,” Odette captioned the post.
Another photo showed the couple standing side by side on a stone walkway, with multiple pyramids visible behind them. One click captured a wide view of the desert with the pyramids in the distance.
Odette was seen sitting on a camel and raising her arm in the air in one slide. The next click zoomed in on a camel’s face with the pyramids behind it.
Another photo featured the Sphinx under a clear blue sky. One pic showed Odette hugging a camel while smiling, with pyramid structures in the background.
The penultimate slide showed the view from behind as they rode camels toward the pyramids. The last photo showed Zach and Odette on camels in front of a large pyramid, both looking toward the camera still wearing the keffiyeh-style headscarves.
Zach Werenski and Odette took a trip across Europe in the offseason
Zach Werenski and his fiancee Odette Peters went touring Europe ahead of the couple’s summer wedding. After visiting Luzern, Switzerland, and Munich, Germany, the couple headed to Athens, Greece, earlier this month.
They stayed at the Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel, a luxury resort by the sea. Last week, Odette shared a couple of Instagram stories showing highlights from their stay at the Greek capital. One photo showed a panoramic view of the sea from an elevated spot at the hotel.
The image featured luxury yachts on the deep blue water, a scenic coastline and rows of sunbeds and umbrellas near the water’s edge.
Another photo gave a closer view from ground level featuring a wooden deck lined with cushioned lounge chairs facing the calm sea. White umbrellas were beside the chairs, and more yachts could be seen in the distance under a clear blue sky.
Their recent posts followed earlier snapshots from Luzern and Munich, part of their extended European vacation ahead of their big day.
