2023 NCAA men's hockey tournament bracket revealed

2022 NCAA Division I Men
The NCAA Frozen Four is here and will start soon.

The NCAA Frozen Four is back. On Sunday (Mar. 19) afternoon, the selection committee revealed their selections for the regional tournament, where each team in the region will compete for a spot in the NCAA Frozen Four in Tampa Bay, Florida.

The last time the NCAA Frozen Four was in Tampa was in 2016 when North Dakota won in dramatic fashion over Quinnipiac. North Dakota was left standing on the Selection Show Sunday, but there will still be 16 teams competing for a college title in the Sunshine State.

What to watch for: Penn State is going to be a popular pick, as they finished strong down the stretch of the season. Watch out for the lower seeds for sneaky upsets as Colgate took down Harvard to win their conference title and Michigan Tech has been overlooked all year.

What to watch for: Four bitter Minnesota rivals make up most of this bracket. SCSU and MSU will be must-see TV in the first round, but it might not even matter. The Golden Gophers are a fully loaded favorite with NHL talent all over the board. They should roll through the regionals.

Manchester Regional, March 23-25

SNHU Arena, Manchester, New Hampshire

Thursday, March 23, 5:30 pm ET, ESPNews

No. 1 Denver (30-9-0) vs No. 4 Cornell (20-10-2)

What to watch for: Any of these four teams could make a spot in the Frozen Four. Denver won the whole thing last year and look as dangerous as ever this year.

Boston is always in the mix, but look out for Western Michigan as a surprise team to go on a run in the tourney; they’ve been extremely strong all regular season.
