  • Mattias Ekholm - Evan Bouchard

The Oilers will be starting Skinner, who's 11-7-2 with a 2.82 GAA and a .897 SV%. He's coming off a great start against the Golden Knights.

"Stu was our best player tonight, I thought he played extremely well. He made one mistake tonight, but that was maybe our worst game that we defended,” Oilers coach Kris Knoblauch said, via NHL.com. “The amount of chances that we gave up tonight and he made save after save. You need your goalie to make those saves, and I think our goaltenders have been really good the last few weeks and are winning us games.

“Obviously, we’re very happy with Stu and we need goaltending like that if we’re going to have success long-term, and this is the goaltending that I saw pretty much all of last year.”

In his career against Florida, Skinner is 2-0 with a 2.53 GAA and a .929 SV% in the regular season.

Oilers vs Panthers: Prediction

Edmonton is a -125 favorite while Florida is a +105 underdog, while the over/under is set at 6 goals.

The Oilers and Panthers are two of the best teams in the NHL and it is a rematch of last year's Stanley Cup Final. This should be a phenomenal game between two of the best offenses in the NHL.

Edmonton is playing well, while Florida is struggling as the West Coast road trip is always tough. Skinner should be able to continue to play well and lead the Oilers to a big home win here on Monday night.

Prediction: Oilers 3, Panthers 2.
