The LA Kings secured a 5-2 win against the Buffalo Sabres putting them second in the NHL Pacific Division standings, ahead of Seatlle Kraken and Edmonton Oilers.

Viktor Arvidsson scored an unexpected goal when he poked in the puck after it took a deflection from the back wall. It fell to the feet of Craig Anderson, who did not even realize he had the puck under him.

Here's the video of the bizarre goal:

Dylan Cozens and Peyton Krebs got two goals back for the Sabres, but it was not enough as the LA Kings pulled through to win 5-2. LA Kings fans were happy with the team's victory and their No.2 spot in the standings.

Here are some of the fan reactions:

"Past 2 games the boys looked great!!! Offense is firing on all cylinders! Juice is doing Juice things and Cop looks great! Your LA KINGS WIN!! #GoKingsGo" tweeted The_ArchAngel26
"Second place for the @lakings, leapfrogging both the @SeattleKraken and @EdmontonOilers in the standings and sleeping in 2nd place. BTW LA and SEA will finally be even in games after Thursday’s Kraken home game; Vegas and EDM will be even in games with LA as well. #LAKvsBUF @NHLRussell" tweeted mediachristian4

After a quite 30 minutes of play, the LA Kings took over the game in the second half of the second period.

Adrian Kempe scored the first goal of the game from a Blake Lizotte assist, who stole the puck from a Sabres attack. Kempe cruised past the defender on him and scored against Anderson.

Arthur Kaliyev doubled the lead for the Kings when a set play sent a deflected pass right to him for his tenth goal of the season.

The Kings scored two quick goals from Sean Walker and Matt Roy to close out the second period.

Record breaking night for LA Kings

Adrian Kempe has been in blazing form for the Kings. In the last game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, he scored four and tonight he continued his point streak with a goal and an assist.

According to NHL PR, Adrian Kempe is the third skater in Kings history to record five straight goals, joining greats Luc Robitaille and Tomas Sansdstrom. The last player to achieve the feat for any team was Jack Eichel with the Buffalo Sabres.

Rob Blake became the fastest GM in franchise history to achieve 200 victories, doing so in 427 games (200-179-48).

He's only the fifth Kings GM to reach the 200-win mark.
