Elisha Cuthbert, the wife of Dion Phaneuf, was once bitten by a mountain lion. Cuthbert has remained relatively active with a few projects since the film and decided to return to the horror genre and did not disappoint.

Despite appearing in some scary movies, Elisha Cuthbert experienced some strange occurrences behind the scenes.

Let's take a look at one such moment when she was caught up in a grim situation. The scariest incident, however, occurred on the set of 24, when Cuthbert was bitten by a mountain lion.

Elisha Cuthbert didn't hesitate when asked about the scariest moment of her career, recalling a terrifying situation on the set of 24. A real mountain lion was present on set. Cuthbert revealed:

“That was definitely crazy, for sure. I think on ’24’ I was trapped in the trunk of a car and shot at. I got attacked by a mountain lion on that show—like, for real—so I think that might be up there."

She would go on to describe the incident in greater detail, claiming that she was rushed to the hospital after being bitten by a mountain lion.

“We had a mountain lion that was in the scene and I was running on the outskirts of Los Angeles in the mountains, and the actual mountain lion that was on set ended up jumping me and attacking me, and I ended up getting bit in the hand and going to the hospital. So I got attacked by a mountain lion. That was probably the craziest.”

Fortunately, she escaped with only a minor cut, but things could have been much worse. The experience is a distant memory now, but Elisha Cuthbert hasn't avoided the horror genre because of it.

Dion is a great ice hockey player and has made a name for himself in hockey. Both enjoy public attention due to their fame in their respective professional careers. Elisha Cuthbert is a Canadian actress and model. The duo started dating in 2008 and tied the knot on July 6, 2013.

Elisha Cuthbert's husband, Dion Phaneuf's NHL stats and early achievements

Dion Phaneuf had a voracious appetite for contact as a rookie with the Calgary Flames in 2005-06. He also set a franchise record for first-year defenseman goals with 20 and finished third in Calder Trophy voting.

Two seasons later, he expanded and refined his repertoire to the point where he finished second in the Norris Trophy voting for Nicklas Lidstrom.

Phaneuf was the centerpiece of two of the largest trades in recent memory, a seven-player swap between the Flames and the Toronto Maple Leafs in January 2010, and a nine-player swap between the Leafs and the Ottawa Senators in February 2016.

He married Calgary-born Hollywood actress Elisha Cuthbert in 2013, after a very public courtship.

Darryl Sutter, the Flames' general manager, knew exactly what he was getting when he selected Phaneuf with the No. 9 pick in the 2003 NHL Draft. The 6-foot-3, 227-pound defenseman was playing in the Western Hockey League for Sutter's brother, Brent, with Red Deer.

The Flames had to wait two years for Phaneuf to finish his junior season. During that time, he won the Bill Hunter Trophy as the WHL's best defenseman in 2004 and 2005.

The highly touted Edmonton native took the Flames out of training camp in 2005-06, playing all 82 games and finishing with 20 goals and 49 points at the age of 20. He also quickly established himself as a power hitter.

In 2007-08, Dion Phaneuf was a First-Team All-Star with 17 goals, 60 points, and 182 penalty minutes.

However, the Flames, desperate for forwards, traded him to the Toronto Maple Leafs in a seven-player deal that also included forwards Matt Stajan and Niklas Hagman.

The Leafs only made the Stanley Cup Playoffs once during Dion Phaneuf's seven seasons in Toronto, when he scored 45 goals and 196 points (2012-13). On Feb 9, 2016, with the team struggling and in need of a shakeup, Phaneuf was part of a nine-player trade with the Ottawa Senators.
