Ilona Maher shares emotional hug with DWTS partner Alan Bersten, pens heartwarming message ahead of finale

Ilona Maher and her partner Alan Bersten were recently seen embracing each other with a hug as they prepared for their next performance. This comes ahead of the final episode of the 33rd edition of "Dancing With the Stars".

They finished third among the five couples during the semis of the event (Nov. 19) with 57 points just behind Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong (58 points), and Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson (58 points).

This performance took the couple through to the finals which will also be the last time Maher and Bersten pair up in this edition of the dance television show. Amid this, Maher took to her Instagram handle to share a video featuring her DWTS partner Alan Bersten as they train for one final episode of the television show.

In the post, Maher, in a black training suit, hugs Bersten, who donned a greyish sleeveless T-shirt and white shoes. The video also featured Lil Wayne's "Let It All Work Out" song in the background.

"Wouldn’t have wanted it any other way @dancingwiththestars" Maher wrote in the caption.

Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten will next feature on Tuesday (Nov. 26) during the season finale of the event. They will be among the five couples who will compete for the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.

The show will be held for around three hours from 8-11 pm EST. Fans can enjoy the show on streaming platforms such as Hulu, ABC and Disney+.

Ilona Maher sheds light on her chemistry with DWTS partner Alan Bersten

Ilona Maher recently opened up about her relationship with her dance partner, Alan Bersten.

In an interview with 'PEOPLE', Maher revealed that they are both talkative and have numerous similar traits. She also mentioned that Bersten doesn't advise her to "tone down" but rather asks her to be sarcastic. She said:

"We're both annoying. We both don't shut up. We're similar. And also, having somebody who doesn't tell you to ever tone yourself down. If anything, Alan tells me to be funny."

Alan Bersten is one of the show's most experienced campaigners. The 2024 edition is his ninth appearance in "Dancing With the Stars", having won the event once during the 28th season with Hannah Brown. Besides, he clinched three fourth-position finishes in the event in seasons 26, 27 and 30.
