Quincy Wilson and Sanya Richards-Ross recently expressed their reaction as middle school athlete Camryn Dailey clocked under 52 seconds in a recent meet. Competing at the Renton Memorial during the Brooks PR Invitational, Dailey, 13, clocked 51.67 seconds to win the junior 400m race of the event.
This run time currently stands out in the 23rd position in the U18 400m World records list. She convincingly defeated her competitors, such as Melanie Doggett and Cayla Hawkins, who couldn't even break the 53-second barrier.
Wilson, one of the fastest 400m high school athletes himself, shared a post of Dailey's winning moments from the race on her stories. He further added a 2-word reaction to express his reaction to this impressive performance of the middle school athlete:
"Coldest out"

2012 400m Olympic champion, Richards-Ross, was also in awe of the performance of Dailey in the meet. She commented on a post hyping up Dailey's performance:
"OMG!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾"

Similar to Camryn Dailey, Quincy Wilson is also one of the fastest 400m runners in the Men's U18 circuit. He also holds the world record in that category in 44.20 seconds. On the other hand, Wilson's other admirer, Sanya Richards-Ross, was a 400m Olympic and World champion during her active time on the track. Notably, she is currently in the 11th position (48.70 seconds) in the senior 400m category.
Quincy Wilson speaks up about his transition from being at the Olympics to preparing for high school classes

Quincy Wilson spoke about the transition he had to make from competing at the 2024 Paris Olympics to preparing for his high school classes. Wilson, 17, is currently studying at The Bullis School.
During his time on the Beyond the Records podcast, Wilson said that he had intended to study during his off-time at the Olympic village, but he failed and had to do his lessons in two days after returning home from the Games. He said (24:47 onwards):
"It was a change for me. I was just like, I've been out the summer, I was supposed to be doing my reading while I was in the village, I didn't do nothing. I went home, did the reading for like two days. I had a 600 page book and then a 200 page book that I had to read."
Quincy Wilson had some good performances during the 2025 Pepsi Florida Relays and the Penn Relays, where he finished 1st and 2nd, respectively, as part of the 4x100m team.
