The Sean "Diddy" Combs sex trafficking and racketeering trial on Friday, June 6, 2025, saw a former girlfriend of the rapper, going by the pseudonym "Jane," testifying against him. She first took the stand in court before Judge Arun Subramanian and the jury on Thursday, June 5, 2025, to reportedly support the government’s allegations against Sean Combs.

After Jane reappeared on the stand on Friday, American journalist Elizabeth Wagmeister and American legal analyst, attorney, and television broadcaster Laura Coates discussed how Diddy allegedly gave financial aid to his exes and assault victims, Casandra "Cassie" Ventura and Jane.

According to BBC News, during her testimony, Jane testified that she and the rapper made a "love contract" in March 2023. It was reportedly made for her to receive a monthly $10,000 allowance for two years, which Sean Combs agreed to give. As per her testimony, the rapper would allegedly hold the money over her head if she refused to participate in “hotel nights” or “freak-offs.”

On June 7, 2025, during the podcast episode of “Trial by Jury,” CNN anchor and chief legal analyst Laura Coates discussed Jane and Cassie’s reported “financial dependence” on the 55-year-old musician. She noted some parallels can be drawn between Jane’s testimony and Cassie Ventura’s testimony, including the idea of “love bombing,” “introducing other partners” in these s*xual nights.

“The divide comes from the manner in which either expressed their displeasure with wanting to participate in them. But then you come back to this point surrounding financial dependence and how the prosecution could view that as a mechanism of coercion or force for trafficking,” Laura Coates said.

Notably, while Jane testified that she made the alleged "love contract" with Diddy, Cassie Ventura, who took the witness stand for four days in May, did not mention a "love contract." Ventura reportedly signed only a standard industry music working contract with Sean Combs when she was working with him for his Bad Boy Records in 2005.

Elizabeth Wagmeister and Laura Coates detail Jane’s testimony against Diddy

During the fourth week of Diddy's sex trafficking trial, one of the rapper’s ex-girlfriends, Jane, who is testifying under a pseudonym, took to the witness stand twice. Elizabeth Wagmeister and Laura Coates explained in the CNN podcast that the witness is believed to be on the stand for a full week, longer than Cassie Ventura.

Wagmeister discussed how, after a few months of dating, Jane alleged that Diddy introduced his fantasy of bringing other men into their s*x life. The witness admitted that she felt exhilarated at first, but she believed it would not happen again. However, Wagmeister further noted:

“She said 90% of the s*x that she had with Sean Combs, who she loved, was with other men. And she says that she told him on numerous occasions she did not want to have s*x with other men.”

The two also discussed how the jury had seen several text messages and heard voice notes. As per Wagmeister, although Jane wanted the "freak-offs" to stop, she said she continued to participate because she wanted to make Diddy happy.

Meanwhile, during her testimony, Jane also revealed to the jury about their “love contract” that the two had made in early 2023 for two years. She also noted that the contract was a monthly allowance of $10,000. Notably, as per Elizabeth Wagmeister, when the prosecutor, Maureen Comey, asked Jane if she still receives pay from the musician, the witness answered, “Yes.”

As per NPR, prosecutors have charged Sean Combs with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. While he has pleaded not guilty to charges, he could be sentenced to life in prison if convicted of all counts.
