FBI director Kash Patel recently responded to Elon Musk’s claims about the Epstein Files as he appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience on June 5, 2025. Kash referred to Musk’s tweet that was posted the same day, where he addressed the possible reasons for why Trump has not made the Epstein files public.
According to First Post, the Tesla CEO wrote on X:
“Time to drop the really big bomb: Donald Trump is in the Epstein files. That’s the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT. Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.”
Notably, Joe Rogan questioned how Musk came to know that the President of the United States was allegedly included in the documents and addressed his doubts on whether Elon has access to the files.
However, Kash Patel said that he would like to maintain a distance from whatever is transpiring between Musk and Trump, as he stated,
“I’m just staying out of the Trump-Elon thing; that’s way outside my lane. I know my lane, and that ain’t it.”
For the unversed, Epstein files refer to the documents that include the names and other details of the associates and clients who have been associated with Jeffrey Epstein, a sex offender, over the years. Meanwhile, Elon and Trump have not shared any response to Patel’s comments on the podcast until now.

During his recent appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, Kash Patel said that the authorities are reportedly in possession of the footage, as he stated,

Dan Bongino, who serves as the deputy director of the FBI, also shared other details related to the video as he spoke to Fox News on May 29, 2025. During the conversation, Dan said that no one had reportedly entered Epstein’s cell at the time of his death, and there was no evidence to prove the presence of another individual.
