Rhythm + Flow season 2 episode 7 recap: Jaxs and Tia P.  impress the judges as they deliberate who to eliminate

Rhythm + Flow season 2 was released exclusively on November 20. The second batch of episodes aired on November 27, 2024. In this reality TV competition series, judges DJ Khaled, Ludacris, and Latto select and guide contestants who want to make a name for themselves in the American hip-hop scene.

Competing for the grand prize of $250,000 and the title of hip-hop’s newest star, each artist gives their hundred percent and wishes to impress the judges. In the newly released November 27, 2024 episode 7, judges discussed which contestants were to be eliminated from the show. A hooking performance caught their eyes as cast members patiently waited to be declared safe.

Rhythm + Flow season 2 episode 7 titled Be Good or Be Great was released exclusively on Netflix on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. The episode synopsis reads as follows:

"As the "Singles" round heats up, the remaining contestants aim to impress with their breakout performances. Who will advance and who will go home?"

What happened on Rhythm + Flow season 2 episode 7?

One of the main highlights of Rhythm + Flow season 2 episode 7 was Tia P.'s performance. During the rehearsals, she talked about music being a form self expression for her.

During her confessional interview, Tia P. told the cameras that the song she was about to perform was dedicated to her birthplace. She discussed how special and important of a role her birthplace had in where she was now. The Rhythm + Flow season 2 cast member further shared her love for music and her background:

"There's so much history within these rooms, but yet here I am creating my own little piece of history amongst some of the giants. My song is about my birthplace. Inglewood is more than where I live, it's very important to me because my first performance as a kid was in the forum."

One of the judges, Ludacris praised her for growing as an artist during her time in the competition. He further said:

"I'm just loving the culmination, and the growth and the evolution. And I'm telling you right now, you knew who you were at the beginning but you are truly finding your spot and yourself."

Another contestant Jaxs also impressed the judges with her ability to bring authenticity to her rap. Her art was praised by DJ Khaled who predicted great things for her in the future. Jaxs told the cameras that grasping the audience's attention was one of the main components of having a strong powerful stage presence. Her main goal was to highlight the influence of "hard grunge" in her performance while focusing on making a brand name through visuals.

One by one each contestant performed and received remarks from judges about their respective performances.

Sura Ali also took to the stage and decided to use her "poetry background" as the basis for composing her rap. Latto stated she was really "invested in her song" and conveyed a "rhythm and flow" in her rap. Meanwhile, Rhythm + Flow judge Ludacris liked her transitions and how the repetitiveness was catchy. The last contestant who appeared on the stage was Jay Tay who received applause from the audience as well as the judges. Ludacris "loved every element" of his performance.

Additionally, the judges discussed which contestants were able to hook the audience and deserved the spot in the next segment of the competition. Rhythm + Flow season 2 episodes 1 to 7 are available to stream exclusively on Netflix. The next batch of episodes will air on December 4, 2024, revealing who will be selected by the judges.
