The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Brit Eady has filed a lawsuit against Bravo, allegedly for the way they portrayed her in season 16 episode 5. According to People, the reality star filed a $20 million lawsuit on June 5, 2025, against Bravo, NBC, and its production companies for intentional infliction of emotional distress, defamation, false light, sexual harassment, and hostile work environment.

The controversy comes from a scene in episode 5 where former castmate Kenya Moore showcased a poster board displaying explicit images of an unidentified woman.

Kenya insinuated that the woman in the photos—allegedly performing oral s*x—was Brit. Kenya has since been removed from the show.

Besides filing a $20 million lawsuit against Bravo alleging defamation and sexual harassment over the explicit photo scandal, Brit Eady also sued the company by respondeat superior, to hold them responsible for the wrongful conduct of their employee, Kenya Moore.

According to court documents obtained by People, the notice called the statements made by Kenya about Eady “false, defamatory, harassing, and damaging.”

While the photo used on the board wasn't exactly Brit, but some random woman that Kenya used to take shots at her, the Real Housewives of Atlanta castmate.

The segment was filmed in June 2024, and Brit didn't see the explicit photograph targeted at her until after certain of these events were aired on Bravo on April 6, 2025.

“Defendants willfully, intentionally, recklessly, and/or with gross negligence produced, edited, and aired an episode of RHOA on April 6, 2025 that included footage of certain of the cast member’s statements at issue as well as commentary from other cast members that described the photographs displayed,” the lawsuit filing read.

The lawsuit filing continued:

“Further, the manner in which the episode was aired falsely yet unmistakably implied that the graphic sexual photograph presented by the cast member depicted [Brit].

The lawsuit further targeted Bravo, detailing that the network either knew that the photograph did not depict Brit, or was reckless/grossly negligent in failing to learn that the explicit photograph did not depict her.

Brit even claimed in the lawsuit that she knew there was a photo concerning her to be shown in an episode.

However, when she tried to see the photo before the episode aired, the network refused to comply with her.

“By the way of foregoing, Defendants contributed to the hostile work environment for [Eady] and sexually harassed Plaintiff by subjecting [Eady] to unwelcome, offensive, and sexualized behavior and comments based on her gender by requiring her to continue working in an environment in which she had been subject to a gendered attack, creating an inferior condition or privilege of employment because of her gender,” it read.

At the end of the lawsuit, Brit requested The Real Housewives of Atlanta immediately remove the episode containing the explicit photo from all public platforms, networks, and media outlets in their control.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star also demanded a public statement from the defendants, acknowledging that episode 5 showcased a false depiction of Brit.

The lawsuit also asked for a monetary reward, including the legal fees that were incurred by Eady.
