Season two of Apple TV+’s original show, Jane is set to be released on the platform on Friday, April 19, 2024. The first season of the educational adventure TV series for children was released on April 14, 2023. The series takes inspiration from real-life 90-year-old English primatologist and anthropologist Jane Goodall. It focuses on her imagination-fuelled, curiosity-driven childhood.
The titular character Jane Garcia, is a 9-year-old girl who goes on various adventures through the power of imagination. She has two imaginary friends, David and Greybeard, a monkey, who join her on her adventures as she goes on a mission to protect endangered species around the world.
The series’ strong reception meant that it had a huge fan following, albeit filled with young people. Apple TV+ released a trailer and teaser for season 2 on April 2, 2024, and it gave viewers a sneak peek into what they can expect from the upcoming iteration.
All ten episodes of season one were released at once and season two is expected to follow suit when it premieres on April 19, 2024.
Jane Season 2 promises a return of Jane Garcia’s global adventures
Dr. Jane Goodall is a trailblazer in her field and a renowned ethologist and conservationist. She has worked to protect a number of animal species during her career. At 90 years old, Dr. Goodall continues to work for the ecosystem and is still involved in multiple initiatives across the world.
The Apple TV+ show focuses on her childhood and shows a younger version of the noted ecologist going on adventures in her mind. Based on her readings and empathy for wild animals who face extinction due to human actions, Garcia goes on a number of adventures to try and protect them. In her imagination, she convinces and does her best to change human attitudes towards endangered species.
The series has received critical acclaim due to the sensitive topics and its educational nature. Season 2 is set to see the return of all the major characters. The cast list of the show includes Ava Louise Murchison as Jane Garcia, Mason Blomberg as David, Tamara Almeida as Maria, and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Mr. Jin.
It will also see Al Rodrigo as Tata, Dan Abramovici as Lucas, Sam Marra as Kevin, Jazz Allen as Millie, Armando Alera as Cashier, and Lucian-River Chauhan as Kurtis. The other cast members include:
