Former Too Hot to Handle star Harry Jowsey recently shared his health struggles with fans, encouraging them to use sunscreen during the summer. The 26-year-old YouTuber took to TikTok on Friday, April 26, 2024, revealing his recent diagnosis of skin cancer found on his shoulder.

In the video, he emphasized the importance of getting regular skin checks—

"I just wanted to make this post to let you know that summer is around the corner. Please wear sunscreen. Please go get your skin checked. If you're a freckly little frog like me, go get a mole map and get your body checked because you never know."

Jowsey rose to fame for his appearance on the Netflix reality show Too Hot to Handle (2020). Following the series, he has built a successful career as a podcaster, content creator, model, and actor. Recently, he appeared on the 32nd season of Dancing with the Stars, reaching the quarterfinals with his dancing pro partner, Rylee Arnold.

"I've had this on my shoulder for, like, a year or two" — Harry Jowsey reveals how he found he had skin cancer

In his TikTok video, Harry Jowsey explained that he went to the dermatologist last week to get his skin checked when they diagnosed him with the disease. Per the Mayo Clinic, skin cancer is an abnormal growth of skin cells, often developed due to exposure to the sun.

The 26-year-old quickly reassured his followers that he was going “to be all good” and “everything's going to be okay.” However, he added that he was making the video to remind everyone to wear sunscreen.

He then elaborated that he found a spot on his "shoulder for like a year or two," confessing that he had "no idea." He stated—

"You never know. I've had this on my shoulder for like a year or two. I had no idea. So um... I just wanna save and rprotect one of you guys out there... So go get your skin checked, wear your sunscreen um... be a little bit more responsible."

Harry Jowsey concluded his video by admitting that dealing with the situation was "very scary" for him. Following his message, his comment section was filled with messages of support. This included fellow Dancing with the Stars competitor Ariana Madix. Madix herself underwent cancer removal in 2018. She wrote—

"Melanoma siblings. so scary but really glad you are ok and yes sunscreen so important and skin checks."

Harry Jowsey's dancing pro partner, Rylee Arnold, too, sent her well wishes, stating—

"So glad you’re okay, sending all the love!!!"

Last year, Jowsey and Arnold fueled dating rumors during their time on Dancing with the Stars. Speculations peaked when Jowsey gifted her a $15,000 bracelet and even spent Thanksgiving holiday with her family while on vacation. However, neither Rylee Arnold nor Harry Jowsey have confirmed the rumors.

When questioned by ET in January if dating in the future was on the cards, Jowsey stated—

"Well, who knows. Who knows what could happen. (Leave) a little bit of hope."

Harry Jowsey spoke up about his upcoming podcast, Boyfriend Material, in February. Talking to Laverne Cox with E News at the 2024 People's Choice Awards, he explained that he has been through enough "crazy breakups and bad situations" and wants to try and help people. He described his role on the podcast as the "guy best friend for all my ladies out there."

Boyfriend Material is scheduled to debut every Tuesday starting April 30, 2024.
