Sydney Sweeney reveals she pitched the idea of selling soap with her bathwater in it amid backlash to her latest Dr. Squatch product

Sydney Sweeney has revealed that she herself pitched the idea of her bathwater soap to Dr. Squatch. The actress also shared her thoughts on the backlash the newly released product, named Sydney's Bathwater Bliss, has received.

For the unversed, Dr. Squatch sells handmade soaps for men. On May 29, the company announced their collaboration with Sweeney via an Instagram post. This collaboration includes limited-edition soaps that contain the actress's bathwater.

Their partnership, however, has received plenty of backlash online. While some people raised hygiene concerns with the soap, many believe that it is degrading to the actress.

When asked about this reaction, Sydney Sweeney told E! News on June 4:

“I think that it’s more fun to see everybody else talk about it.”

She also confirmed that it was her idea, saying:

“I pitched it.”

The limited-edition soap is now sold out on Dr. Squatch's website. Meanwhile, its description online read:

“A perfect combination of the two best places on the planet: The outdoors and Sydney Sweeney’s bathtub.”

As per the site, the soap featured pine, Douglas fir, and earthy moss along with Sweeney's bathwater. The actress also posted the collaboration on her Instagram account on May 29, writing:

"You kept asking about my bathwater after the @drsquatch ad… so we kept it. Introducing Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss! A very real, very limited-edition soap made with my actual bathwater."

The ad referenced by Sweeney is the one she did with Dr. Squatch in 2024, where she urged "little boys" to use the company's body wash to feel like men.

Sydney Sweeney reacts to leaked photos from Euphoria season 3

The third season of Euphoria is set to release in 2026, and its production is currently underway. Meanwhile, some pictures featuring Sydney Sweeney on set recently got leaked. Playing Cassie in the show, she was seen wearing a wedding dress in the photos, leaving fans curious as to what it could mean for the storyline.

Following this leak, Sweeney appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on June 5, where host Jimmy Fallon asked the actress if Cassie is getting married in the upcoming season. In response, she answered:

“Um. I can’t confirm or deny."

Then, referring to the leaked pictures, she joked:

Who knows, that could be AI."

Sweeney didn't reveal much but said that she hopes the next time she's on the talk show, she will be able to talk about Euphoria season 3 openly. The actress did, however, mention that her character is "crazier" in the upcoming season.

She had also spoken about Cassie in an interview with Empire magazine, published on May 22, 2025, saying:

“I have such a spot in my heart for Cassie, and I hold her really close and dear. She is crazy. She makes so many mistakes. She’s flawed on so many levels, but she does it all from a place of love. It could be a sad version of love, as well."

Sweeney added:

"It’s so much fun to play a character that is as crazy as she is. Sam [Levinson] is such a brilliant filmmaker to work with, because I’ll read something, then I’ll call him, and I’m like, ‘Let’s go crazier.’ And he’s like, ‘I’m all in.’ And this season is unhinged.”

Euphoria features a group of high school students who face various struggles with things like drugs, money, love, and more. The show's first season was released in 2019, and the second came out in 2022.
