A brief recap of Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1 episode 5

It was the Beltane Festival in episode 5, the popular yearly event where Ellen MacKenzie and Brian Fraser agreed to meet each other during their secret meeting in Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1 episode 4. Away from the eyes of the festival goers and her betrothed, Malcolm Grant, Ellen and Brian meet at the chapel, where she lost her innocence to the man she loves.

However, their secret rendezvous is revealed to one person, who saw them in the woods, Brian's cousin, who is secretly in love with Ellen, Murtagh. While there's no big confrontation about the betrayal, yet, Murtagh ended up drowning his sorrows in the bottom of a bottle and in Ellen's married sister Jocasta's kisses. But the affair abruptly ended when Murtagh uttered Ellen's name while kissing her.

Meanwhile, Davina put a stop to Julia's plan to attend the Beltane festival in Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1 episode 5 because Lord Lovat has called in a seer to do a reading for their unborn child. If her plan to attend Beltane had happened, she would have reunited with Henry, who was at the festival with the Grants.
