Cameron Brink joins A'ja Wilson in historic stat line

LA Sparks rookie Cameron Brink continues to make WNBA history as she put up a historic stat line on Sunday. She joined star A'ja Wilson as the only player in the league to put up 12+ points and 2+ blocks in the first quarter. Brink has impressed with how she has played in the first few games of her career.

She excelled against the Dallas Wings as the Sparks sought their second win of the season. The forward showed her scoring prowess in the first period with 12 points and two blocks. Her scoring was focused mostly on hitting 3-pointers, making two in the opening period.

The former Stanford standout had 15 points and three blocks in the first half, which the Wings weren't able to stop.

This is the third time Brink has scored in double digits in her career. The first time was during her first game of the season, where she had 11 points and four assists. The second was against the Indiana Fever, where she had 15 points and nine rebounds.

After her first four games of the season, Brink averages 8.3 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.3 blocks. She's the league leader in blocks per game this season.

Cameron Brink and Caitlin Clark's matchup takes over Los Angeles

Two of the top rookies in the WNBA, Cameron Brink and Caitlin Clark, met each other on Friday.

Fans were expecting major stuff from the two rookies, and their matchup generated a significant amount of people to attend the game. With the two rookies as the headliners, there were 19,103 people in attendance.

It's reportedly 106 more than LeBron James and the LA Lakers have drawn out to the Crypto.com this season.

Unfortunately, the hosts disappointed the home crowd, as they suffered a 78-73 loss. Clark had 11 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists during the game and had 4-14 shooting from the field.

Brink did her best with 15 points and nine rebounds. She was in foul trouble with five fouls, but she was still at the top of her game on defense, with two steals and as many blocks.


Sparks lose to Wings despite Brink heroics

Despite an impressive outing in the first period, Cameron Brink and the Sparks lost to the Wings on Sunday.Arike Ogunbowale took over for Dallas with 20 points and five rebounds.

Brink, meanwhile, finished with a new career-high of 21 points and made three shots from deep out of six attempts.
