“Stage 2 Britney Spears”: Jason Whitlock ridicules Angel Reese’s six-figure attempt at silencing haters

Angel Reese clapped back her haters with a hilarious video on TikTok. The Chicago Sky star posted a video tackling the "mebounds" offense, a term that the fans have coined to roast Reese, alleging that she rebounded all her missed shots.

In her TikTok video, Reese said that whoever came up with the term perfectly nailed it.

"Whoever came up with the ‘mebounds’ thing. Y’all ate that up cuz rebounds, mebounds, crebounds, keybounds, tebounds -- anything that comes off that board, it's mine!" Reese said in the video. The trolling, I love when y'all do that."

She also added that the rebounds she took, weren't just hers.

"When y'all came up with mebounds — cause, statistically, all the rebounds I get aren't always just mine. They're the defenses, too, or somebody else's on my team — but when y'all came up with mebounds, y'all [ate]."

Former ESPN sports columnist Jason Whitlock, who has previously roasted Reese and shown his support for Caitlin Clark and Indiana Fever once again pulled up on X/Twitter, ridiculing Reese for the video.

He posted Angel Reese's TikTok video on X on Sunday.

"Stage 2 Britney Spears….. This is a cry for help. Someone who cares about her should get her off social media," Whitlock wrote in the post.

Monica McNott defends Angel Reese from Caitlin Clark fans

Angel Reese has been targeted by WNBA fans this season, especially in light of her struggles on the court. Compared to her rookie season, Reese has seen a decline in almost every category. This season, she is averaging 10.3 ppg and 11.8 rbg on 36.3 FG% compared to last season's 13.6 ppg and 13.1 rpg on 39.1 FG%.

The decline on her stat sheet has perhaps given the Caitlin Clark fanbase to ridicule the Sky star.

However, ESPN's Monica McNutt took a stand for the Chicago Sky star and called out Caitlin Clark fans for hating on Reese.

"Caitlin Clark fans: You can love your favorite player and say nothing about Angel Reese," she said on "The Collison." "Like our parents used to say, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

It has been a difficult first few weeks, not only for Reese but also for the Chicago Sky team. Reese and Co. have won only two of the nine games that the Sky has played this season. The Sky currently holds the 12th seed in the WNBA, only ahead of Dallas Wings, the team with the record (1-11).
