The VCT Americas League has finally begun with its last week of the Regular Season. Teams are now in a tricky situation where they must rely on other teams' matches to secure their spot in the Playoffs. The Americas region has three spots for VCT Masters Tokyo. The Playoffs stage will decide the teams that make it through. Week 8, Day 2 has two matches lined up, one between NA's Cloud9 and LATAM's KRÜ Esports.

Week 8 opened with two incredible matchups. The first was the more exciting as viewers saw Sentinels go up against FURIA. Both teams were able to win their own picks. The decider map, Bind, went the distance. Eventually, Sentinels were able to close out the BO3 (Best of Three) series by 2-1 with a scoreline of 19-17 on the last map.

The second match was an all-out NA brawl between NRG Esports and Evil Geniuses. NRG were able to dominate Evil Geniuses as they won the BO3 series by 2-0.

Cloud9 vs KRÜ Esports - Who will come out on top of this matchup at the VCT Americas League?

Predictions

Cloud9 has been on an amazing run throughout the Regular Season. Despite their underwhelming performance at VCT LOCK//IN and roster changes, they have seemingly dominated almost every team in the Americas League. Cloud9 has won seven out of their eight matches.

KRÜ Esports have had a terrible season. The team hasn't been able to find their form and has lost every single match.

The matchup heavily favors Cloud9, as their performance through the season has been incredible. This is another David vs. Goliath match for KRÜ Esports, and very difficult to win.

These teams have faced each other a couple of times before. The most recent was during the Red Bull Home Ground in 2022 #3, where Cloud9 won the BO3 series by 2-0.
