After Week 7, Day 2 of VCT 2023: Pacific League matches concluded, Sportskeeda Esports got the opportunity to interact with Evan "Warbirds" Olzem, the head coach for Team Secret. In the scrum interview, the coach was questioned about their upcoming match against DRX. He was specifically asked about his expectations from the matchup and their game plan for approaching the game.

To this question, Warbirds replied:

"So DRX is next week. I think the biggest thing right now is to kind of look at ourselves. It feels like the past couple of losses have been us losing to ourselves and not us losing to the other team, especially today that felt really prevalent. So like right now focus on ourselves. DRX has looked a little shaky on some of their matches. So yeah, I think like just kind of a more look inward and see what we can improve as a team, what areas we need to fix, fix them, and then we can kind of look at GE and DRX as it's Super Week next week so. Got to take that into consideration."

According to coach Warbirds, the team needs to focus more on themselves rather than their opponents. He pointed out that the last couple of losses have been them making mistakes rather than their opponents playing well, which was observable in their performance on the day against T1. He added that the 'Kings of Asia,' DRX, has been a little shaky in their last couple of matches.

Before their upcoming matches next week against Global Esports and DRX, the team needs to identify their mistakes and fix them.

In the last seven matches played, Team Secret has won only three. This is a concern for the team since they were considered one of the best teams in the Asia Pacific region and have previously defeated renowned teams like Team Liquid and Paper Rex. DRX, on the other hand, is yet to lose a match in the Pacific League. They have remained unbeaten so far, and their coach, termi, plans on keeping the title of 'Kings of Asia' and maintaining their winning streak.
