10 Dream matches we would like to see if The Elite sign with WWE in 2019

The Elite could be on their way to take over WWE next year

Consisting of some of the hottest and best Pro Wrestlers in the world, The Elite is quite arguably the hottest and most powerful non-WWE act in the world of Professional Wrestling today. For months now, speculations have suggested that The Elite could very well be on their way to the WWE in early 2019 and if the likes of Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, and The Young Bucks are to make their way to the hottest sports entertainment company next year then the WWE Universe could finally witness numerous dream matches come true.

Having already established themselves as one of the hottest acts on New Japan and Ring of Honor soil, The Elite, who once upon a time were a vital part of the legendary Bullet Club faction, recently parted ways with The Biz Cliz, forfeiting the civil war between The OGs and The BC Elite in the process.

The Elite is sure to be considered as one of the prestigious factions of all time as well and given the fact that the group was initially created by Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks in 2016, The Elite has already held several well-renowned championships from various promotions across the globe.

With Omega currently in his first reign as the IWGP Heavyweight Champion, The Elite can proudly claim that they have a frontman who has all the capabilities in the world to lead the group and represent The Elite's colors in New Japan. Cody, a former ROH and NWA World Champion, is another huge asset to The Elite as he is currently in his first reign as the IWGP US Heavyweight Champion.

Elsewhere, The Young Bucks have pretty much dominated the entire tag team scene all around the world and Hangman Page and Marty Scurll are also two of the fastest rising stars in the world as well.

That being said, if The Elite is to make their way to the WWE in 2019, then expect them to go head-to-head in some absolute dream matches and in this article we have decided to throw in the idea of 10 dream Elite vs WWE matches.

#10. The Young Bucks vs The Revival

The Young Bucks (left) and The Revival (right) have been feuding for a long time now

If The Young Bucks are to ever step foot in the WWE in the near future then one of the first and foremost matches that we are likely to witness is going to be a highly anticipated tag team bout between The Young Bucks and The Revival. Regardless of how Dash and Dawson have been booked thus far on the main roster, a match against The Jackson Brothers is something wrestling fans have been patiently waiting to see for years now.

Throughout the entirety of 2017, The Elite started and established the FTR movement (you can probably figure out what that means). Led by the trio of Cody and The Bucks, the FTR movement kept on growing stronger and stronger and almost every single Bullet Club member including Kenny Omega, Adam Cole, and other NJPW stars such as Will Ospreay also joined in mocking The Revival.

The Revival, however, have dominated the NXT tag team scene prior to their main roster call-up and are also the first ever 2-time NXT Tag Team Champions, and their outstanding matches on NXT TV also helped in drawing comparisons to The Young Bucks, as the two tag teams engaged in a social media feud to claim "The Best Tag Team In The World" tag.

That debate can eventually be put to rest if The Bucks and Revival square-off at some point down the line if Matt and Nick Jackson are to make their way over to the WWE.

#9. The Young Bucks vs Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows

During their time in New Japan Pro Wrestling, the duo of Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows were considered as one of the best tag teams in the world and being three-time IWGP Tag Team Champions goes on to reflect The Good Brothers' track record in the Land of The Rising Sun.

Prior to their arrival in the WWE, Anderson and Gallows were two of the most prominent members of The Bullet Club and pretty much dominated the heavyweight tag title scene in NJPW, whereas, their fellow BC stablemates, The Young Bucks were the pioneers to the Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Division.

With The Bucks being promoted to the heavyweight division in recent months, a match against The Good Brothers will definitely be a fresh and brand new challenge for The Bucks, who during their time in Japan didn't have the chance to square off against Anderson and Gallows.

#8. Hangman Page vs Shinsuke Nakamura

When he first joined The Bullet Club in 2016, Hangman Page was mostly an ROH exclusive star, however, NJPW officials have finally taken note of The Hangman's incredible in-ring talent. Having made his NJPW debut in the very same year, Hangman Page has already challenged for the IWGP Tag Team Championships on two different occasions, once with Yujiro Takahashi and the other with Cody Rhodes. Despite failing to win the straps, Page's impressive performances continued to attract the New Japan management and audience as well, as in 2018, not only did Page receive a shot at the IWGP US Heavyweight Title but also main evented his first NJPW show alongside Kenny Omega.

Earlier in the year, Page also proved his worth by showing that he is more than capable of hanging in the ring with NJPW OGs, as he competed in his first G1 Climax where he defeated the likes of Togi Makabe and the ferocious Minoru Suzuki and also shared the ring with the veterans in the form of Kazuchika Okada and Hiroshi Tanahashi. Therefore, what's stopping The Hangman from facing-off against another one of NJPW's very own, Shinsuke Nakamura?

Page has already proved that he can hang in the ring with some of NJPW's biggest stars and a match against Nakamura could be a very stiff contest, to say the least.

#7. Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks (The Elite) vs The New Day

Despite working for two different promotions, the chemistry between The Elite and The New Day have been immense for the past couple of years. What initially started out as a friendly banter between the two groups, eventually turned into a healthy competitive rivalry between the two factions.

The Elite and The New Day initially started mocking each other on-screen and on social media, with both Kenny Omega and Xavier Woods taking advantage of being real-life friends for a very, very long period of time. And throughout the years, both Matt and Nick Jackson also expressed their desire to share the ring with The New Day as well.

Therefore, a feud between The Elite and The New Day would definitely make a lot of sense and given that the two groups have already collided at this year's E3 Gaming Convention, a rematch could definitely help Omega, Big E and co. to settle their differences in the ring.

#6. Marty Scurll vs Adam Cole

One more time baybay!
One more time baybay!

'The Villain' Marty Scurll and the inaugural NXT North American Champion, Adam Cole have history and, I mean a lot of history, with each other. On 12th May, 2017, at ROH: War of the Worlds, following a loss to Hiroshi Tanahashi, former three-time ROH World Champion Adam Cole was fired from the Bullet Club by leader Kenny Omega and then received a trademark Young Bucks parting gift on his way out of the faction as Marty Scurll replaced Cole in The Biz Cliz.

In his final match for Ring of Honor, Cole was defeated by Scurll in a Philadelphia Street Fight, therefore, a rematch between the two men could very well be on the cards and with Cole having the backing of The Undisputed Era on this occasion, maybe the WWE Universe could also witness a long-term feud between The Elite and The Undisputed Era.

#5. Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton

Speaking of having a history with each other, how can we not talk about former WWE Intercontinental Champion, Cody Rhodes and all the rumors of him potentially jumping ship to the WWE in 2019?

Cody's first and initial run with the WWE was certainly a very memorable one, as 'The Grandson of a Plumber' portrayed some of the most memorable gimmicks in WWE history. However, since his departure from the promotion in 2016, Cody established himself as one of the most successful stars of all time and not only did Cody join the Bullet Club but he also won the ROH World Championship, the NWA World Championship, and is also the current IWGP US Champion.

Along with The Young Bucks, Cody also successfully organized his first ever self-financed wrestling event, All In, earlier this year. However, a historic return to the WWE could be on the horizon for 'The American Nightmare', whose current contract with ROH ends in early 2019.

If Cody is to make his return to the WWE, then one thing is for sure that we are guaranteed to witness a very different version of Cody Rhodes, the man who once started out as a so-called young boy/rookie under Randy Orton in Legacy has now developed himself as one of the greatest Professional Wrestlers in today's modern day era.

Orton and Cody did cross paths prior to the latter's departure from the WWE, however, imagine 'The Viper' putting over his former student upon his return match. That would definitely make the headlines and will be one solid way to re-introduce Cody Rhodes back into the WWE.

#4. Kenny Omega vs Seth Rollins

Yes, please!
Yes, please!

For many years now, several talented men have inserted their name into the conversation of who the 'Best in the World' is and the likes of Kazuchika Okada, CM Punk, AJ Styles, and of course, both Kenny Omega and Seth Rollins also fit right into the picture as well. Omega, who is by far considered as the most successful foreign star to step foot in NJPW, has transitioned himself from a Jr. Heavyweight to the reigning, defending IWGP Heavyweight Champion on the world.

Meanwhile, WWE Intercontinental Champion, Seth Rollins has already established himself as one of the finest and hardest workers in Professional Wrestling today. In a recent interview, 'The Architect' also stated that he would like to face Omega in order to prove who the actual 'Best in the World' is, to which the latter responded via a very interesting tweet.

A match between Omega and Rollins is definitely going to happen if 'The Best Bout Machine' signs a contract with WWE next year.

#3. Kenny Omega vs Finn Balor

This match needs to happen!
This match needs to happen!

Kenny Omega is a former leader of The Bullet Club and so is Finn Balor. As a matter of fact, Balor is not only the former leader of the Bullet Club but he is also the first ever leader and the founder of the legendary faction, up until the point he was kicked out of his own faction and made his way to the WWE.

During their time together in NJPW, Balor and Omega competed against each other on two different occasions when it came to singles competition and also squared-off in several classic Apollo 55 vs Golden Lovers tag team matches. Omega, however, following Balor's departure from NJPW and The BC, somewhat followed 'The Real Rock 'n' Rolla's' path as he joined the Bullet Club and started representing the faction as their new Jr. Heavyweight.

A match within WWE premises will be another instant classic, with both men already having developed their in-ring style a lot over the years.

#2. The Young Bucks vs The Usos

Do you like Superkicks?
Do you like Superkicks?

If you'd go on Twitter and ask either Matt or Nick Jackson which tag team from the WWE they'd like to step into the ring with, then the likely answer is going to be The Usos!

There is no surprise to the fact that The Young Bucks, for several years now, have been a huge fan of The Usos and have claimed that they would definitely like to share the ring with The Usos. Both teams are quite dynamic, athletic, and also very charismatic as well. Not to mention the fact that both The Usos and The Bucks are also super popular in the US.

A match between the five-time WWE Tag Team Champions and the former record seven-time IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions will be insane and if you're a fan of Superkicks then you wouldn't want to miss this one. Expect a crazy superkick party when The Usos and The Bucks collide.

#1. Kenny Omega vs AJ Styles

The match fans have been patiently waiting to see for years now!

Ever since NJPW: New Years Dash, 2016, the entire Pro Wrestling fanbase around the globe have been waiting to witness a highly anticipated clash between AJ Styles and Kenny Omega, who alongside other members of The Bullet Club kicked out 'The Phenomenal One' from The BC two years ago now.

Styles' departure from NJPW, not only created The Elite but also marked the beginning of Omega's reign as the leader of The Bullet Club and there is every reason in the world for the former two-time WWE Champion to seek revenge on the current IWGP Heavyweight Champion.

Styles, who for one is also a former two-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion, was kicked out of The BC due to the fact that Omega had to struggle as a Jr. Heavyweight, whereas, Styles was the one who got the big pay-per-views and main evented almost every show. This gives enough reason to WWE to build a perfect storyline involving Styles and Omega and not only will the WWE Universe seem to enjoy this but the entire Pro Wrestling globe will shift their focus to this highly awaited feud.
