There weren't very many heels in this tournament, but Mercedes Martinez surely was one of the few who excelled and really made a name for herself.

Out of the 32 women, Martinez had perhaps the best aura of being a veteran who had been in the game long enough to feel supremely confident in her abilities rather than someone new who was still learning the ropes but had promise.

Martinez carried herself so well that I think she could go straight to the main roster, bypassing NXT entirely, although seeing her run roughshod over the developmental brand and being one of the more tenured stars who can help the younger folk could be extremely beneficial.

If she doesn't get signed, it will be a travesty, as she's clearly worked hard enough to get herself to a level of talent that justifies her being in the elite.
