Carmella and Daniel Bryan have been equally searched over the past twelve months. However, she has been placed above him as she is more searched the last time their graphs deviated as on 12 September 2018. Anyone may overtake the other any time soon.
Carmella has seen a career surge in 2018. Things have gone uphill for her ever since she cashed in her Money in the Bank contract to defeat Charlotte Flair and become Smackdown Women's champion for the first time in her career. During the course of her three-month reign, she defeated Charlotte clean and also got the better of Asuka on two separate occasions. Although the quality of these contests from an in-ring perspective was a bit tepid, her confidence and consistent character work supported by good microphone skills made her connect well with the audience.
Even after losing the championship to Charlotte recently (in a pretty decent match though), her pairing with R-Truth seems to be fresh and interesting. It wasn't long ago when she was considered the weakest wrestler amongst the trio she was a part of in NXT, but now her position on the roster and on this list shows the incredible progress she has made since then. Her catchphrase "Mella is Money" is therefore quite true.
