Babyface Mickie isn't getting the job done

When Mickie James returned to WWE as Alexa Bliss’ evil sidekick, all was right with the world. Her promo work was as impeccable as always, meanwhile, her in-ring prowess was as strong as it’d ever been. The time away from the company clearly did her the world of good, and then in the blink of an eye, she turned into a generic babyface.

It was a disappointing yet predictable transition for Mickie, and unless she goes back in the opposite direction, we can’t see her making it back onto the main card like she did last year in Orlando.

The only hope for her would be a women’s Battle Royal, which given the current landscape, wouldn’t surprise us one bit.
