#8 How the news of them asking for their release leaked
The Revival had a meeting with higher-ups to request their release early last year in January. Cash said that somehow as soon as they left the talent relations meeting, the word had gotten out and everyone knew about it.
They added that despite asking for their release, they worked really hard in 2019 to try and elevate the tag division but it just didn’t pan out. They also said that they went out of their way to not comment on the release rumors.
Dax said he believes that the tag-titles were put on them to try and get them to stay, but it wasn’t about the title for them and they just wanted the tag division to be taken seriously. Dax added that he believed that singles stars put together as a tag-team had a better chance of being pushed in WWE than tag-team specialists who looked and wrestled in a similar style.
