The Revolt were formerly known as The Revival in WWE

Dax said it was very hard for him to turn down the lucrative WWE contract. He said that it was something Cash thought about also but what they really wanted to do was to make an impact on professional wrestling. Dax added that he spoke to his grandmother about it and she helped him come to his decision to turn down the lucrative WWE contract. Harwood and Wheeler then decided to run down their contracts while doing whatever WWE wanted them to do in the time they had remaining.

Speaking about turning down the offer from WWE, he believed that there was a ton of opportunity for The Revival outside WWE and that the company just wanted to keep them away from it.

Wheeler added that while they wanted money, they weren’t happy being complacent and collecting a paycheck while not doing anything meaningful. They believed that they are good enough to be successful outside WWE.
