#9 Carmella and Nia Jax (Total Divas Season 9)

The ninth season of Total Divas told an ongoing story about the animosity between Carmella and Nia Jax.

On the day of the 2019 WWE Royal Rumble, Jax called Carmella “fake” and “not authentic” during a conversation that the two women had alongside Tamina in the backstage area.

“I just, I don’t know, for some reason I don’t find any genuineness in you, so I don’t really like being around you. I feel like you’re really fake and not authentic, so I just have a hard time being around you.”

Carmella immediately became emotional and said she has never been described as “fake” by anyone in her life.

In a separate Total Divas episode, Jax also took a dig at the former SmackDown Women’s Champion for being too safe as an in-ring performer.

As you can see above, one month after those scathing remarks, another Total Divas episode aired which showed Jax admitting that her comments to Carmella were uncalled for.

“The Irresistible Force” said she did not want to make excuses but she had been struggling for a long time with knee injuries, which changed who she was as a person.
