#8 Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey (Total Divas Season 9)
As well as Carmella, Nia Jax also had issues with Ronda Rousey in the ninth season of Total Divas.
Rousey, a newcomer to the Total Divas cast, turned heel towards the end of her one-year run with WWE and began to criticize the sports entertainment industry in promos and on social media.
Following one of Rousey’s brawls with Becky Lynch on RAW, Total Divas cameras captured Jax saying, “That’s, like, disrespectful, though,” to the UFC Hall of Famer backstage. Rousey, who was joking around with Natalya at the time, ran after Jax and could not understand why she was so upset.
“Nia comes at me and she’s all heated and mad, but I’m not here to be liked. I’m here to entertain and I really don’t think I deserve to have anybody come at me like that.”
Just like the Carmella situation, Nia Jax apologized to Rousey and blamed it on her being “super heated” that night.
Jax added that, although she respects the former MMA star, she found it difficult accepting her because other female Superstars have struggled to gain recognition in WWE, whereas Rousey made it to the top straight away.
