Why didn't Sting win this match?

You would think that would be the result after months of Sting battling back and forth with The Authority on Monday Night Raw to vanquish them from power, but for some reason, WWE still decided to render all that meaningless and show once again why WWE was superior to WCW.

What made the moment even worse was the addition of The NWO and DX, which only made the match even more complicated and ultimately stupid. Sure, it might have seemed like a good idea on paper, but once you consider the fact that Sting and The NWO were sworn enemies, you start to realize why this storyline twist fell apart so quickly.

But absolutely nothing was worse then Sting being defeated by Triple H at WrestleMania 31. Not only did it not make sense from a storyline standpoint, especially since Sting was built up as the conquering babyface that could finally end The Authorities reign on WWE, but also because of what a WrestleMania moment would have meant for Stings wrestling career.
