Short storylines are better

I remember being on the opposite side of this very opinion that I now convey. Yes, storylines spanning a couple of months is okay, but a little longer and the matches lose their intensity. While longer storylines call for great background into the bout, I hardly see the idea of a Champion being pitted into a feud that lasts for more than 2 months. It takes away the opportunity for other wrestlers to battle for the belt and the whole show then centers on these two attractions.

The fact that Brock Lesner could find some time from his busy schedule and be a part of WWE for 500 odd days as a Champion and only fought Roman Reigns for the latter part of his reign is a harsh reality. Lesner had a couple of fights with Strowman which included Roman in various stipulations. The rest of the promos, presence, bouts were all about Roman Reigns. A feud which only curtained with Roman finally winning the championship.
