Goldberg and Chris Jericho had beef from their time in WCW stemming from Goldberg’s refusal to work with the smaller Cruiserweight and that heat carried over to WWE when Big Bad Bill joined up. The two got into a fight that Chris Jericho won and Goldberg got a lot of backstage heat for his shenanigans as various wrestlers have confirmed over the years.

He was forced to admit in public that he had lost a fight to Y2J and that The Ayatollah of Rock n Rolla had always been the better wrestler.

#3 Muhammad Hassan

Muhammad Hassan’s monster push in the WWE came to an end when The London Bombings occurred at a time when the terrorist part of his gimmick came to the fore. But, even before this, he had some major backstage heat thanks to a clash with Eddie Guerrero.

Hassan demanded that Eddie stopped using The Camel Clutch – which was Hassan’s finisher at the time. Guerrero got furious with the youngster, not only for the lack of respect but also because it was Eddie’s father – Gory Guerrero – who invented the move in the first place.

Shane Helms aka The Hurricane confirmed this and also spoke of a time when Hassan bought the entire locker room shots in a bar and every one of the wrestlers poured their drinks on the ground as a sign of their dislike of him.

#2 Daniel Puder

You’re a contestant on WWE’s Tough Enough and you get a chance to get into the ring with Kurt Angle. The only problem is, you’re booked to be squashed. So, what do you do? Well, if you’re just another wrestler, you get squashed as you’re meant to.

If you’re Daniel Puder on the other hand, you lock Kurt Angle in a legitimate kimura lock that could have broken Angle’s arm. The ref counted a false pin against Puder in order to save Angle from having to tap out.

The backstage heat from this was absolutely enormous and Puder’s punishment came in the Royal Rumble where veterans beat him to pulp before eliminating him. There are various shoot interviews regarding the same from everybody involved with the incident.

#1 Melina

Melina was constantly fighting with the other women backstage and it got to a point where everyone had had enough of the diva. She was hauled into Wrestler’s Court and was yelled at by the veterans until she started crying.

Rumor has it that she was so hated that every man and woman on the roster came to watch proceedings and even placed bets as to how long it would take for Melina to break down into tears. Not fun.

There have been substantial reports from news outlets regarding the mammoth heat Melina garnered backstage during her stint with the company.
