10 WWE Superstars who have Hall of Fame relatives

The WWE Hall of Fame
The WWE Hall of Fame

The highest honour you can receive as a professional wrestler is to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Every year a new crop of the business's legends are ushered into wrestling's most exclusive club.

Many of those Hall of Fame places are occupied by members of some of pro wrestling's greatest families, naturally. Members of the Samoan Dynasty, The Harts, and there's even a McMahon in there.

Those families and more don't begin and end when they wind up in the Hall of Fame though. There are plenty of Superstars active on the roster today who are related to WWE Hall of Famers, and here are ten of them.

#10 Epico and Primo Colon

One of the big pro wrestling families not mentioned in the introduction was The Colons. Carlos Colon was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014 and has worked tirelessly his entire life to put Puerto Rican wrestling on the map.

Carlos is the owner of the Puerto Rican wrestling promotion WWC, or the World Wrestling Council. He has held the promotion's World Title an incredible 26 times and that's also where Primo and Epico began their careers.

The Colons are related and both the kin of Carlos, but they're not brothers. Primo is the son of the WWE Hall of Famer. while Epico is his nephew, hence Primo's cousin. As of yet, The Colons are yet to enjoy as much success as their father/uncle.

#9 The Usos

Primo Colon isn't the only member of SmackDown Live's tag team division that has a Hall of Fame father. The blue brand's Tag Team Champions, Jimmy and Jey Uso, can also boast that particular accolade.

The Usos are the twin sons of former WWE Superstar and Hall of Famer, Rikishi. Rikishi underwent many gimmicks during his career with WWE but the one he is most well known for is the thong wearing, stink face giving wrestler he was for the latter part of his run.

Jimmy and Jey have not mimicked that part of their father's career, but they have adopted others in the form of their splashes and superkicks. They may not look like Rikishi used to in the ring but there's no doubt that The Usos are the Hall of Famer's sons.

#8 Curtis Axel

Curtis Axel is a third generation Superstar. The grandson of Larry Hennig and son to WWE Hall of Famer Curt Hennig, or Mr Perfect, as many may know him - a deserved Hall of Famer and one of the best wrestlers to never win the WWE Championship.

Mr Perfect was framed as one of those unique wrestlers that didn't need a World Championship to further his career, and his induction into the Hall of Fame is proof of that. His son Curtis may not be so naturally gifted though.

WWE have tried to push Axel in the past but it just hasn't happened. They briefly made The Miztourage member a Paul Heyman guy and Intercontinental Champion but even that wasn't enough to significantly raise his status.

#7 Goldust

One of the most beloved characters in all of pro wrestling history is Dusty Rhodes, not only for his legendary run during the 1980s, but for all the work he did at the Performance Center towards the end of his life with almost all the Superstars who are on the roster today.

There is only one man currently on WWE's roster who can call this particular Hall of Famer his dad though, and that is Goldust. Goldie himself has had a Hall of Fame-worthy career, still going strong in 2017 after making his in-ring debut in 1988.

Goldust has a brother, Cody Rhodes, who is 16 years his junior. Cody is not currently with WWE but rather making a name for himself around the world as a member of the Bullet Club.

#6 Tamina

The first female entry on this list is SmackDown Live's Tamina. The Hall of Fame daughter recently returned to WWE television and is currently working alongside Lana, although their appearances are few and far between.

Tamina's father is the late WWE Hall of Famer, Jimmy Snuka. Superfly is a Fijian Superstar who famously performed his Superfly Splash from the top of the cage at Madison Square Garden during the 1980s.

How fans feel about Tamina's father is up for debate. Jimmy was supposed to go on trial for the alleged murder of his girlfriend during the early '80s. New evidence surfaced not long before Snuka's death but he was deemed too ill to stand trial.

#5 Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns may not have the backing of the fans but he is riding high in WWE nevertheless. Already a three-time WWE Champion and looking very likely to headline his fourth WrestleMania in a row, a feat only achieved by one other man, Hulk Hogan.

It's no surprise that Roman is such a good in-ring performer when you look at his wrestling pedigree. The Big Dog is related to a litany of WWE Hall of Famers. His father is Sika, one half of The Wild Samoans, plus he has two Hall of Fame cousins in Yokozuna and Rikishi.

Like it or not, Roman is going to be around for the long haul and if you put aside your irrational hatred of him it's hard to argue with that. He's a great wrestler with a great look and he comes from a family that has pro wrestling pumping through its veins.

#4 The Rock

The Rock

Sometime in the not so distant future, Roman Reigns may very well have another Hall of Fame relative to brag about. He and The Rock are also cousins and you would have to imagine The People's Champion will be inducted into the Hall of Fame sometime soon.

Since The Rock is related to Roman Reigns, then that means The Great One is also related to the multitude of Hall of Famers that The Big Dog shares a bloodline with. They're Samoan and wrestlers which apparently means they are almost definitely related.

WWE doesn't make a habit of inducting Superstars who are still active into their Hall of Fame, and whether The Rock fits that description or not is up for debate. When he battled Cena a few years ago, he wound up injuring himself so it's possible that Rocky may never wrestle again.

#3 Natalya

Natalya

Natalya is the current Women's Champion on SmackDown Live. While The Queen Of Harts has been a Divas' Champion before, it's her first reign with the title since it has been renamed, and it's been a long time coming.

Nattie has lasted in the business through a lot of change in women's wrestling. The first ever third generation female Superstar in wrestling was once part of a locker room where her wrestling ability wasn't appreciated as much as it really should have been.

Someone with the pedigree of Natalya was never just going to give up though. Nattie is the daughter of Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart and niece of the one and only Bret Hart, thus revealing her familial link to the WWE Hall of Fame.

#2 Charlotte Flair

It's hard to talk about Natalya and not also discuss Charlotte Flair. The Queen's WWE career has been intertwined with Nattie's. The pair first met in NXT when they battled for the brand's Women's Championship.

For that match, each lady had a particular family member in their respective corners. Natalya had her aforementioned Hall of Fame uncle Bret Hart, and Charlotte had a Hall of Fame relative of her own -- her father, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair.

While everyone on this list has a relative that has been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, Charlotte is the only one who has a dad that has been inducted twice. As of right now, Ric is the only man with that accolade having been inducted individually and as a part of The Four Horsemen.

#1 Randy Orton

Randy Orton

Some people are guilty of believing that certain Superstars only made it in the business because they had famous relatives. Well make no mistake about it while that may get them a foot in the door, it doesn't do the work for them. Randy Orton is a perfect example of that.

WWE recruited The Viper back in 2000 because he was the son of WWE Hall of Famer 'Cowboy' Bob Orton. However, Orton isn't still around 17 years later with 13 World Championships to his name simply because he has a famous father.

In fact despite his dad being in the Hall of Fame, Randy has arguably surpassed anything that Cowboy achieved in the ring. When the time comes The Apex Predator will unquestionably be inducted and bestowed with WWE's most prestigious honour.
