10 Superstars who were blacklisted by WWE
WWE's Black List: Top 10 Wrestlers who made the cut
A blacklist (or black list) is a register of entities or people who, for one reason or another, are being denied a particular privilege, service, mobility, access or recognition. As a verb, to blacklist can mean to deny someone work in a particular field or to ostracize a person from a certain social circle.
The term blacklisting may be used in a pejorative sense, implying that a person has been prevented from having legitimate access to something due to inappropriate covert actions of those who control the access. Blacklisting can and has been accomplished informally by consensus of authority figures, and does not necessarily require a physical list or overwritten order. For a variety of reasons, many companies have or maintain a blacklist and the World Wrestling Federation is no different.
Over the years, many WWE Superstars and Divas were blacklisted, owing to a variety of reasons. However, there have been some instances when a blacklisted superstar’s record has been revoked, but otherwise it remains a permanent scar on the wrestler’s career.
