2 reasons why Kenny Omega should join WWE and 2 why he should join AEW

Where will the Cleaner end up?
Where will the Cleaner end up?

Kenny Omega said that he was done with New Japan Pro Wrestling after he lost his IWGP Heavyweight Championship to Hiroshi Tanahashi at Wrestle Kingdom 13. The Cleaner is now the hottest free agent in the pro wrestling industry, and it looks like he may soon join WWE or All Elite Wrestling once his contract with NJPW officially ends on 31 January.

Vince McMahon and co would be trying to sign Kenny Omega, as he has been on WWE's radar for a long time, and this is the golden opportunity to sign him. On the other hand, Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks' All Elite Wrestling would be looking to make their roster more star-studded by signing Kenny Omega.

WWE's former superstars like Chris Jericho, Neville, and Stardust (Cody Rhodes) are a part of the new wrestling promotion which was founded in November 2018.

Kenny Omega is one of the best wrestlers in the world currently, and here are 2 reasons why he should join WWE, and 2 reasons why he should join AEW.

#1 Should join WWE - He can become the face of the company in the absence of Roman Reigns

One man's loss is another man's gain, as they say

'The Big Dog' Roman Reigns was set to be the face of the WWE as the Universal Champion of the company. However, his reign was cut short after he was diagnosed with leukemia, which forced him to abdicate the championship.

Looking at the other superstars on the WWE roster, hardly anyone can take Roman's place, so if WWE sign Kenny Omega, the Cleaner may instantly become Vince McMahon's golden boy.

Kenny Omega was one of the key reasons behind NJPW's rise, and he has a huge fan following worldwide, so the WWE could launch him as the next face of the company.

#1 Should join AEW - WWE may not give him the creative control he needs

If Kenny Omega joins the WWE, the chances are very low that Vince McMahon and co will give him the creative control he needs. Omega is a wrestler who performs very well if given creative control, and in NJPW the Cleaner used his creativity to perfection, which established him as a star.

All Elite Wrestling on the other hand, is an upcoming wrestling promotion, and Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks might not mind giving Kenny Omega the creative control over his career.

Looking at AEW's signings, it looks like they will definitely give more creative control to their wrestlers, as Chris Jericho is known for his unique ideas, while Neville had left the WWE after he was dissatisfied with his booking.

So joining AEW will definitely give him a lot of control over his on-screen character.

#2 Should join WWE - It is the biggest sports entertainment company on the planet

WWE is undoubtedly the biggest sports entertainment company on Earth, and Vince McMahon and co have worked very hard in building a name for themselves. Though the company is not getting the TV ratings it used to get, the wrestling promotion is still the grandest promotion of all time.

World Wrestling Entertainment is watched by a lot of fans worldwide, and is more popular than any other wrestling promotion in countries like USA, UK, India, Saudi Arabia, and others. They pull massive crowds whenever they host events out of USA, but on the other hand, All Elite Wrestling is a new wrestling promotion, and is yet to build a fan-base for itself.

Joining the WWE, Kenny Omega will become more famous, and so he should consider signing with Vince McMahon's promotion.

#2 Should join AEW - The wrestling levels inside the ring will be definitely higher than WWE, and so AEW has a chance to outshine WWE

The wrestling level of AEW will be unmatchable

If we look at the rise of NJPW over the years, it is not that it has spent more on its production or it has a more star-studded roster than the WWE, but the wrestling has taken them to the next level. Respected wrestling journalist, Dave Meltzer, gives NJPW matches 7 stars, compared to WWE's matches which receive ratings between 0.5 - 4.25.

With the likes of Cody Rhodes, Neville, Chris Jericho, and the Young Bucks already with AEW, Kenny Omega should join them and complete the elite wrestling roster. Kenny Omega can look at the examples of Finn Balor, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, and Shinsuke Nakamura, who looked like a million bucks on NJPW, but have been poorly booked in the WWE.
