A lot has happened in WWE during the last couple of weeks. From the reports of a few superstars getting disgruntled with the company (Dean Ambrose, Luke Gallows and Anderson) to Becky Lynch getting suspended and replaced in her match against Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 35, this month has seen it all.

Given the recent turn of events, plus with Elimination Chamber scheduled for this Sunday, speculations, and predictions have cropped up all over the Internet. Also, with the highlight show of the year, WrestleMania 35, just around the corner, the rumor mill has been buzzing more than ever.

In this modern age of social media and the internet, rumors spread like wildfire. Rumors are an integral part of the entertainment industry, and the case with WWE is no different. With the rumor mill on fire as of late, we take a look at 2 rumors of the second week of February which should come true and 1 which should not.

#3 Should come true: Kevin Owens returning soon as a babyface

According to the reports of Cagesideseats, Kevin Owens could return to WWE very soon. And not only that, he will be brought back as a babyface, and there is a high probability that he might get a match at WrestleMania 35.

Kevin Owens has been sidelined from WWE TV since October 2018 after he aggravated his knee injury. However, it might not take long before we see this former Universal Champion back inside the WWE ring.

Even though WWE has been getting most things right, the degrading viewership tells us a different story, thus a return of KO as a babyface could spice things up a bit if WWE decides to book him in a gripping and solid storyline.

#2 Should come true: Batista competing at WrestleMania 35

Batista featured on SmackDown's 1000th episode to tease a potential WrestleMania match against The Game, Triple H. However, an injury picked up by HHH at Crown Jewel last year, has all but deprived us of this mouthwatering contest. Nevertheless, it seems all is not lost yet.

Though not against Triple H (given his injury), Batista may still be in for a match at WrestleMania 35. Yes, according to a report by Cagesideseats, the former WWE Champion met with WWE officials in Connecticut, last Thursday, and if everything goes well, then we might see Batista back in action at The Show of Shows.

However, what will be interesting to see is who the Animal faces if he features in a match at WrestleMania 35, and how the creative go about it.

While any new age NXT Superstar in the likes of Lars Sullivan or EC3 are likely opponents, don't be surprised if WWE decides to have an epic clash between The Animal and The Rock. All in all, the mere addition of Batista to the 'Mania card could prove to be 'best for business'.

#1 Should not come true: Finn Balor losing his match against Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush at Elimination Chamber

When will the Balor Era finally begin in WWE?
When will the Balor Era finally begin in WWE?

Finn Balor is scheduled to face Bobby Lasley and Lio Rush in a 2-on-1 handicap match for the Intercontinental Championship. However, Balor might not be able to walk out as the new champion this Sunday.

According to a report by Cagesideseats, barring the women's tag team championship, there won't be a title change scheduled for Elimination Chamber. Thus, Finn Balor may end up losing once again on February 17.

While Finn made headlines after earning a Championship shot against Lesnar at Royal Rumble 2019, things have been going downhill for the Boss of the Balor club ever since.

Given the fan following and his in-ring ability, Balor deserves to be on the top card in WWE, and another loss this Sunday will not only undermine him but also hinder his credibility.

With Rollins and Lesnar among the top ranks on the red brand, WWE has a chance to make things right via crowning the fan favorite as Intercontinental Champion on the mid-card. This would not only make the title relevant once again, but would also help in boosting the ratings.
