Buddy Murphy vs Kalisto
As Murphy made his way to the ring, accompanied by Tony Nese, the commentary team promoted the upcoming event WWE Super Show-Down taking place on October 6.
Kalisto was accompanied by the Lucha House Party, who refused to leave Kalisto at the hands of both Murphy and Nese.
Murphy caught Kalisto early, putting him down with a pair of mat slams. Murphy attempted to show off his advantage in strength, but Kalisto was able to avoid an attack with a back handspring.
Murphy and Kalisto went to a test of strength, with Murphy tripping up the former Cruiserweight Champion. However, Kalisto took Murphy to the top rope before tossing him across the ring with a hurricanrana.
Murphy went to the outside, but Nese stopped Kalisto from attempting a suicide dive, only for the Lucha Dragon to hit both Nese and Murphy with a dive over the ropes.
Nese joined Murphy in the ring, and Lucha House Party jumped in as well. As the ref attempted to take control of the situation, Murphy nearly knocked Kalisto out with a stiff right. Kalisto attempted a running hurricanrana, but Murphy caught him. The Juggernaut went for a powerbomb, but Kalisto forced him to the ropes, tossing him to the outside.
Kalisto stood on the apron and went for a blockbuster, but Murphy caught Kalisto in mid-air before planting him with a suplex.
It was at this point that the ref threw out Lucha House Party for pushing Murphy away from Kalisto, leaving the leader of LHP to deal with Murphy and Nese by himself.
Murphy put Kalisto back inside and caught him with a stiff Football style kick to the back.
Vic Joseph reminded the WWE Universe that Buddy Murphy won his only title in NXT by defeating Kalisto and Sin Cara for the NXT Tag Team Titles with Wesley Blake.
Kalisto avoided another Football kick, finding his way behind Murphy, locking in a sleeper hold. Murphy slung him off his back, kicking him in the jaw, getting a near fall.
Murphy attempted to drag Kalisto outside, but the former Cruiserweight Champion kicked him away. Before he could hit Kalisto with another dive, Nese caught his feet, allowing Murphy to level him with a deadly clothesline. The referee finally sent Tony Nese to the back, as the crowd chanted "Hey Hey Hey, Goodbye!"
Kalisto then caught Murphy with two kicks on the apron, followed by a springboard seated senton and a springboard spinning back elbow.
Kalisto then rolled Murphy into a kick, but Murphy picked his leg, attempting to launch him into the turnbuckle. Kalisto saved himself before being caught in a suplex position one more time. Kalisto escaped, hitting an inverted hurricanrana followed by a kneeling hurricanrana, nearly getting the win.
Kalisto went for the Salida Del Sol, but Murphy countered, launching Kalisto like a lawn dart into the second turnbuckle. Murphy ran into a superkick, however, and nearly lost again.
Kalisto and Murphy worked their way to the apron, where the Juggernaut launched Kalisto across onto the announce desk face first, nearly knocking him out of the matchup.
Murphy then slung the former champion around the ringside area before breaking the ref's 10-count at seven.
Kalisto went for a springboard seated senton from the barricade, but a hideously devastating knee left Kalisto laying. Murphy attempted to leave Kalisto outside for a count-out victory, but the Lucha Dragon goaded Murphy back outside, sending him over the barricade with his feet.
Murphy barely made it back into the ring, only for Kalisto to plant him with another hurricanrana while he was still getting through the ropes. Murphy, yet again, kicked out. The crowd chanted "This is awesome" as Kalisto went for another springboard hurricanrana, but Murphy caught him, slamming him with a powerbomb followed by another sit down powerbomb.
A "205" chant broke out in Toronto, as the crowd stood on their feet.
Murphy went for Murphy's Law, but Kalisto evaded, only to be met with a running knee to the jaw. Murphy finally connected with Murphy's Law for the victory.
Results: Buddy Murphy defeated Kalisto via pinfall.
Nese quickly made it back to the ring to celebrate with Murphy. The power duo left Kalisto laying in the middle of the ring as they showboated around ringside.
As 205 Live ended, Murphy exlaimed "I Am This Division!"
