Who
Who is next in line for the Cruiserweight Championship?

Tonight's episode of WWE 205 Live began with a video of Drake Maverick discussing the talent of 205 Live. Maverick announced that Murphy could be back in contention soon, as he'd take on Mustafa Ali later on tonight. The GM also said that Lince Dorado would go one on one against Brian Kendrick.

Lince Dorado vs Brian Kendrick

Lince Dorado was accompanied to the ring by the rest of the Lucha House Party as the commentary team discussed LHP's noisemakers. Kendrick came out next, accompanied by his new acquaintance, Drew Gulak.

Kendrick came out of the gates as the bell rang, running Dorado into the corner and assaulting him with a hail of elbows. Dorado fought back with punches and chops, forcing the former Cruiserweight Champion into the opposite corner, following up with a hurricanrana that would put him outside.

While Dorado and Kendrick fought on the outside, Gulak let it be known that he should be Cedric Alexander's next challenger for the Cruiserweight Championship.

Kendrick took over, using the barricade to his advantage. He then threw Dorado into the ring, keeping the luchador grounded as Gulak read from his anti-luchador pamphlet.

Kendrick repeatedly kicked Dorado in between submission holds, keeping him on his back. The former Champion repeatedly slammed Dorado in between holds, then threw him into the corner, but Dorado burst out and hit him with a flying heel kick, followed by a head scissors takedown. Dorado then took Kendrick down with a flying cross body followed by a suicide dive.

Gulak distracted Dorado while he was outside, allowing Kendrick to take advantage, throwing Dorado into Gran Metalik. However, when he went back into the ring, Dorado caught him with the Golden Rewind for the win.

Results: Lince Dorado defeated Brian Kendrick

Gulak assaulted LHP after the match but was chased off before he was able to do any damage to Lince Dorado.

A video package played, highlighting last week's Cruiserweight Championship match. Following that, Mustafa Ali spoke to the WWE Universe about his upcoming opportunity against Buddy Murphy, claiming that his heart is stronger than Murphy's might.

TJP vs Brian Keith (local competitor)

TJP faced off against another local competitor on tonight's episode of 205 Live. TJP began the match with a handshake-turned-clothesline before grabbing a mic to insult his opponent.

TJP called himself the "Cruiser-Great" before hitting a tope atomico on Keith. TJP continued to assault his opponent while cutting a promo on Drake Maverick. TJP claimed that maybe Kurt Angle, Paige, or even William Regal might appreciate him more.

He then went on to say that "the best technical wrestler" might be available soon, before telling Keith that it's "tap-out time." TJP then locked in a sharpshooter, picking up the submission win.

Results: TJP defeated Brian Keith.

A vignette plays of NXT's Lio Rush, who says that, in time, 205 Live will feel the rush.

Mustafa
Mustafa Ali and Buddy Murphy look to break their 1-1 tie

Before the main event, it was revealed that Lucha House Party will face off against Brian Kendrick, Jack Gallagher, and Drew Gulak next week in a 6-man tag match.

Mustafa Ali vs Buddy Murphy

After Mustafa Ali makes his entrance, Tony Nese was seen talking to Buddy Murphy backstage. Murphy stated that he's still 205's Juggernaut and that you can't stop the unstoppable. Murphy and Nese hit a fist bump as he made his way to the ramp.

As Murphy made his way down to the ring, the commentary team went over their past few matches, wondering who would win the rubber match.

Ali attempted to use his speed to get around Murphy. However, Murphy caught him, driving him into multiple corners, shrugging off any offence Ali could throw at him. Ali finally stunned him with a kick to the face, dodging all of Murphy's attacks before hitting him with a dropkick followed by a corkscrew plancha to the outside.

Ali landed a high angle cross body on Murphy getting back into the ring, garnering a two count. As Ali went to the top rope yet again, Murphy blocked him. Both men fought at the top, only for Murphy to hit a Detonation Kick off the top rope, with Ali landing on the turnbuckle while taking a kick to the face.

Murphy tried to bully Ali from this point on, but any time Murphy went to showboat, Ali attempted a roll-up, catching the Juggernaut with a few close calls. Murphy hung Ali up over the rope before landing a backbreaker/gutbuster combination, followed by an octopus stretch, further damaging Ali's ribs.

Ali escaped the hold, spiking Murphy on the ground with an inverted hurricanrana. Murphy and Ali rose back to their feet. Ali chased Murphy into one corner, with Murphy attempting to kick Ali. The "Heart of 205 Live" slung him around the ropes, followed by a superkick, then a springboard splash, only getting a two-count.

Both men, damaged and winded, got back to their feet while punching each other. Murphy went for his combination, only for Ali to counter with a few kicks. Ali hit Murphy with a superkick but Murphy retaliated with a boot to the jaw. Ali dodged an attack from the Juggernaut and attempted to hit the rolling facebuster, only to be struck by Murphy's knee.

Murphy dragged Ali to the apron, but Ali fought out of a suplex attempt, hitting the rolling facebuster on the apron. Murphy found enough strength to kick out at two once again, frustrating Ali. Ali went for the tornado DDT, but Murphy pulled his head down, superkicking the Heart of 205 Live under the turnbuckle pad, before picking him up in a powerbomb position and turning it into a DDT.

Ali escaped to the apron. Buddy Murphy attempted to stop his head through the apron, but Ali dodged, before climbing up the turnbuckle to hit a tornado DDT onto the floor outside the ring. Before he could hit the 054, Hideo Itami jumped up and knocked Ali off the top. Itami landed a delayed missile dropkick on Buddy Murphy before hitting his finish on Ali.

Results: Mustafa Ali wins by DQ

205 Live ended with Hideo Itami looking out over the destruction he caused. The stiff striking superstar screamed, "Respect Me," as the screen faded to black.
