Cedric Alexander was shown backstage talking to GM Drake Maverick. Maverick wanted to make sure that Alexander won't interfere in the match tonight. Maverick said that next week, 205 Live will face off against the UK Division.
Main Event: Buddy Murphy vs Mustafa Ali
As Murphy entered the arena, the commentary team went over the match that the two were a part of back in March during the Cruiserweight Championship Tournament. As Ali came out, Murphy kept his eyes on him, never losing focus.
Murphy forced Ali into the turnbuckle, but Ali escaped, chopping Murphy. Ali kept the pace quick, but Murphy caught him during a hurricanrana attempt, trying to go for a powerbomb. Ali escaped, however, and the two traded pinning attempts.
Murphy went for the powerbomb again, but Ali turned it into a hurricanrana, forcing Murphy outside. Ali then hit him with a basement dropkick, but before he could capitalize, Murphy threw him to the ground with a running suplex.
Murphy slung him into the ring, then threw him into the corners of the ring repeatedly, followed by a back body drop. Murphy stomped and kicked Ali while on the ground, beating down the Champ's best friend. Murphy put him in a headlock, but Ali countered into a jawbreaker. Both men dodged each other and then hit a double cross body, forcing both men to the ground.
As the two got up, Murphy threw Ali into the ropes. The Heart of 205 Live countered it into a dropkick, as he picked up the speed in the match. However, as he went for his rolling facebuster, Murphy countered into a sleeper hold. Ali continued to fight, then putting his own sleeper hold on Murphy. Ali forced Murphy to the ground with the Sleeper Hold.
The Best Kept Secret stood up, then dove headfirst into the turnbuckle cannonball style, almost knocking Ali out cold. Murphy kicked Ali in the face with the sole of his boot, infuriating Ali. He fought back up to his feet with forearms and kicks.
Murphy went for his kicking/stomping combination, but Ali countered the final kick, throwing him through the ropes and hitting a modified spinning DDT, spiking him on his head.
Murphy broke out of the pin at a two-count, and Ali put him into the corner. Ali forced him to the top rope, then hit him with a forearm for good measure. However, before he could hit a superplex, Murphy countered into a facebuster followed by a kick to the back of the head and a modified DDT, only earning a two-count.
Ali tried to sneak a pin, but Murphy broke out, hitting him with a triple powerbomb. Ali's eyes glazed over as the ref checked on him. Ali told Murphy to bring it on. Murphy went for another powerbomb, but Ali countered it into a facebuster, getting another two-count.
Ali forced Murphy to the top of the turnbuckle facing outside of the ring. He went for a Spanish Fly but was pushed off. Landing on his feet, he caught Murphy with a superkick on the ring floor.
Ali rolled him in for the pin, but Murphy put his leg on the ropes, breaking up the pin. Ali went to the top for a 450 Splash, but Murphy moved. As Ali's arm hung on the rope, Murphy stomped on it and proceeded to assault it.
Ali fought back and went for the tornado DDT, Murphy countered, throwing him into the turnbuckle before hitting Murphy's Law. Buddy Murphy picked up the win, fixing the one blemish on his 205 Live record.
