August Grey vs Ashante "Thee" Adonis on 205 Live

The 205 Live main event saw Ashante "Thee" Adonis face off against August Grey, a man who's had the 205 Live OGs' number of late. They traded pinfall attempts early before Grey sent Adonis into the turnbuckle with a slingshot.

Miles responded with a hangman's neckbreaker for a two-count. A series of elbow drops pummeled Grey, but he avoided the final one, managing to get back to his feet. It wasn't enough, though, as he wasn't able to avoid a rolling spinebuster.

A big dropkick sent Grey through the ropes and nearly into the 205 Live announcer's desk. As Adonis went to follow up, he was yanked shoulder first into the corner, letting Grey hit his rope-walking crossbody. A jawbreaker/neckbreaker combination set Grey up for a delayed side powerslam.

Grey managed to roll through on Adonis's cross-body attempt, but the latter kicked out. A leaping enzuigiri rocked Grey for a near fall. Adonis shook off the first So Much Prettier attempt, but the second one would connect.

Results: August Grey defeated Ashante "Thee" Adonis via pinfall on 205 Live.

Grade: B+

August Grey has been on fire on 205 Live as of late. So much so that 205 Live OG Ariya Daivari came out to the ramp to celebrate with him. Was Daivari trying to recruit Grey into their fold? After all, if you can't beat 'em... join 'em, right?
