Yesterday, another episode of WWE 205 Live was aired. In this series, I will be reflecting on the hits and misses of the latest episode of 205 Live.

This week's episode consisted of two first-round cruiserweight championship matches, interesting story developments and fun matches so without further ado, let's get started!

Hit: Kalisto vs Lince Dorado

Lince Dorado and Kalisto shake hands before their match on 205 Live.

Wow! What a match between these two. Kalisto seemed like he was finally able to do what he does best and he had a great foil for doing so In his friend Lince Dorado. This match was a perfect example of what the Cruiserweight division should be.

Non-stop, high flying, breathe taking innovative manoeuvres that aren't seen very often in a WWE ring. This match also had a simple story of Both luchadors wanting and needing this win so bad. Callisto wins after a fantastic match, then gets his hand raised out of respect by Lince Dorado after the match.

Hit: Roderick Strong Video Package and Roderick Strong vs Hideo Itami

Hideo Itami vs Roderick Strong, First round match of the Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.

Strong hit for giving viewers a look at Roddy who might not be familiar with Roderick Strong or NXT. This was a fantastic short video package highlighting what Roderick strong is about and why he's here to stay.

Only to be followed up by a totally different Cruiserweight match then the Kalisto vs Lince Dorado but just as good. This match was so stiff, fast paced at times and hard-hitting, It was a great showing from both superstars with the unexpected result of Roderick Strong winning his 205 Live debut and beating Itami.

I will admit that I did not see this coming at all and was pleasantly surprised when Roderick got the pin. My only worry is, where does Hideo Itami go from here?

Hit: Mark Andrews Video Package and Akira vs Mark Andrews was announced for next week

Enter
Akira Tozawa vs Mark Andrews Next week on 205 live, Cruiserweight Championship first round match.

Another 205 Live debut is happening next week and I couldn't be more hyped. Mark Andrews will face Akira Tozawa next week In the first round of the cruiserweight championship tournament.

Mark Andrews was exciting in the UK championship tournament so I'm not expecting anything less from him next week. It was smart of WWE to get the United Kingdom superstars and use them In this tournament.

The video package did a nice job of showing highlights from his matches and giving us a little character ahead of his match next week.

Hit: Drake Maverick tries motivating Tony Nese and Drew Gulak

Drew Gulak and Tony Nese will Face off next week in the first round of the Cruiserweight Championship tournament.
Drew Gulak and Tony Nese will face off in the 1st round of the Cruiserweight Championship tournament.

Drake Maverick scolds Drew Gulak for being a goof, instead of the gritty submission grappler he was, in the beginning of 205 Live and Tony Nese for being one of the most athletic superstars on the roster, then putting them against each other next week.

In the first round match of the tournament was a nice layer to the tournament. These two can have a fantastic heel v's heel match, if booked correctly, we might even be able to get a face turn from Drew Gulak. Drake Maverick giving these two a motivation speech was a fantastic way to fire up the two cruiserweights.

Misses: None

205 Live, The main show for Cruiserweights.

For the second week In a row, I couldn't find anything wrong with this week's episode of 205 live. The two first-round matches Of the Cruiserweight championship tournament were tremendous.

Both winners from last week got promo time to keep themselves fresh in the audience's mind, and we got 2 good matches announced for next week with Akira Tozawa vs Mark Andrews and Drew Gulak vs Tony Nese. Hopefully 205 Live can keep this momentum going into Wrestlemania because every match so far in this tournament has been a home-run.
