We continue the countdown of the top 25 WWE Superstars of 2017 in this next part. We have seen the Superstars who made the cut in our first part of this list. But who went further to truly define the WWE in 2017?

This list continues the countdown to find out who were the top WWE Superstars of 2017. So who do you think has made it to #12 and beyond, all the way to #1? Let us not waste any more time, and let's just find it out!


#12 Enzo Amore

Key Highlights:

  1. Joined the Cruiserweight division, and created a greater buzz among 205 Live.
  2. Cruiserweights begin featuring in Raw's main events on multiple occasions, upon his arrival in 205 Live.
  3. Won the WWE Cruiserweight Championship twice.
  4. Huge Heel Turn after winning the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

From the beginning of the year, until April, Enzo Amore along with his then partner, Big Cass were chasing for the Raw Tag-Team titles. However, in June, the team disbanded after Big Cass attacked Enzo, and turned himself heel. Enzo then went on fight Cass in a losing effort at WWE Great Balls of Fire and was attacked by him again at WWE SummerSlam. However, the next night on Raw, Enzo won a Brooklyn Street Fight against Big Cass after the referee stopped the match when Cass suffered an injury.

The next night on WWE 205 Live, Enzo made his debut in the Cruiserweight division, in a move that took his career to the next level. He brought greater attention to 205 Live, and cruiserweights begin to feature in Raw's main event on multiple occasions. At WWE No Mercy, Enzo defeated Neville for the Cruiserweight Championship, with a low blow, thus turning himself heel. This was Enzo's first title win with the WWE.

After losing his title to Kalisto in 15 days, Enzo regained the title at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs. At WWE Survivor Series Kick-off show, Enzo successfully defended the title against Kalisto.

#11 Brock Lesnar

Key Highlights:

  1. Won the WWE Universal Championship at Wrestlemania, finally defeating Goldberg.
  2. Overcoming Samoa Joe and Braun Strawman in high stakes main events on pay-per-view.
  3. Winning the Fatal 4-way match in the main event at WWE SummerSlam, involving Braun Strawman, Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns.
  4. Defeating WWE Champion, AJ Styles in one of the classic bouts of the year at WWE Survivor Series.

At WWE Wrestlemania, Brock Lesnar defeated his rival, Goldberg, to win the WWE Universal Championship, thus winning his 5th World Title and the first superstar to win both the WWE Championship and WWE Universal Championship. In another interesting fact, Lesnar also became the first wrestler to kick-out from Goldberg's jackhammer in addition to giving him his first clean singles loss of his professional wrestling career.

Lesnar's first title defence came at WWE Great Balls of Fire, where he successfully defended the title against Samoa Joe. He later went on to defend the title at WWE SummerSlam in the main event in an all-out fatal 4-way match.

His next challenge was The Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman, individually, at WWE No Mercy, where The Beast was victorious once again. His final match of the year took place at WWE Survivor Series, where he faced the WWE Champion, The Phenomenal One, AJ Styles in a Champion vs Champion match, where The Beast emerged victorious in a classic bout.

Brock Lesnar is indeed The Reigning, Defending, Undisputed, Universal Champion.

#10 Dean Ambrose

Key Highlights:

  1. Won the WWE Intercontinental Championship at the beginning of the year, defeating The Miz.
  2. Held the WWE Intercontinental Championship for 152 days.
  3. Won the Raw Tag Team Championship with Seth Rollins, and held the titles for 78 days.
  4. Won the main event at WWE TLC, in a 5-on-3 handicap match.
  5. Shield Reunion.

Ambrose began the year by winning the WWE Intercontinental Championship on the January 3 edition of SmackDown Live, where he defeated The Miz and won the title for the 2nd time. He lasted for almost 27 minutes in the Royal Rumble match before being eliminated by Brock Lesnar. He would go on to WWE Wrestlemania to successfully defend his Intercontinental title against Baron Corbin.

After moving to Raw, due to the Superstar Shakeup, Ambrose would resume his rivalry against The Miz, to whom he would lose the title at WWE Extreme Rules, thus ending his reign at 152 days.

One of his most defining moments came during the build-up to WWE SummerSlam, which saw him reuniting with his former Shield buddy, Seth Rollins. The duo would go on to win the Raw Tag Team Championship at WWE SummerSlam, by defeating Cesaro and Sheamus, making Ambrose both a "Triple Crown" and "Grand Slam Champion" in the process. The duo also successfully defended their titles at WWE No Mercy.

Ambrose would then go on to team with Rollins and Kurt Angle in the main event of WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs, to win a 5-on-3 handicap TLC match. Ambrose and Rollins would lose the titles to Cesaro and Sheamus on the November 6 episode of Raw, after an interference by The New Day, thus ending their reign at 78 days.

The Shield would unite for WWE Survivor Series where the trio with Roman Reigns back, would go on defeat The New Day.

#9 Seth Rollins

The Kingslayer

Key Highlights:

  1. Notable rivalry of the year with WWE COO, Triple H.
  2. Defeated The Game, Triple H, at Wrestlemania, and defying The Authority.
  3. Handed Samoa Joe his first singles loss at the main roster, at WWE Payback.
  4. Won the Raw Tag Team Championship with Dean Ambrose.
  5. Shield Reunion.

Rollins began the year with an amazing rivalry against The Game, Triple H. The build-up to their match at Wrestlemania, was one of the most hyped of the event. At WWE Wrestlemania, Seth Rollins slayed The King of Kings, Triple H, in a non-sanctioned match.

After Wrestlemania, Rollins went on to defeat Samoa Joe at WWE Payback, handing Joe his first singles loss at the main roster.

Rollins then went on to have an amazing summer with Dean Ambrose, as mentioned in the previous slide, going on to win the Raw Tag Team Championship, and eventually losing it to Cesaro and Sheamus. Rollins was also part of an amazing Shield reunion, and won the WWE Survivor Series match with the trio.

In addition, Seth Rollins finished off the year again by winning the Raw Tag Team Championship, on the final Raw of the year, but this time alongside Jason Jordan.

#8 Roman Reigns

"This Is My Yard Now!"

Key Highlights:

  1. Competed in his 3rd Wrestlemania main event in a row.
  2. Became only the 2nd Superstar to beat The Undertaker, at Wrestlemania, in what is speculated to be The Deadman's last match.
  3. High-Octane feud with Braun Strawman.
  4. Defeated John Cena at WWE No Mercy.
  5. Shield Reunion and victory at WWE Survivor Series.
  6. Won the WWE Intercontinental Championship, thus becoming a Grand-Slam Champion.

2017 may be considered the biggest year for Roman Reigns. It was the year where he put The Deadman down.

At WWE Wrestlemania, Roman Reigns competed in this 3rd Wrestlemania main event in a row, where he faced The Undertaker in a No Holds Barred match. The Big Dog was victorious over The Undertaker, in what many speculate to be The Undertaker's final match. As a result, Roman Reigns becomes the only 2nd superstar to defeat The Undertaker at Wrestlemania, after Brock Lesnar.

Roman Reigns then went on to have a memorable feud with Braun Strowman, with both superstars getting the better of each other. Even after losing his match to Braun at WWE Great Balls of Fire in an ambulance match, Roman locked him in the ambulance before driving it backwards into a production truck.

The Big Dog also had brief feud with John Cena with both of them launching classic promos at each other, which ended at WWE No Mercy with The Big Dog standing tall over John Cena.

Reigns would then join his Shield brothers, and reunite the trio. Roman Reigns competed alongside The Shield against The New Day at WWE Survivor Series, where the Shield emerged victorious.

The following night on Raw, Roman Reigns defeated The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship, thus becoming the 28th "Triple Crown" and the 17th "Grand Slam Champion".

#7 Kevin Owens

Key Highlights:

  1. Begin the year as WWE Universal Champion.
  2. Betrayed then best friend Chris Jericho.
  3. Won the WWE United States title in a historic win at Wrestlemania.
  4. Three WWE United States Championship reigns.
  5. Brutally attacked Mr. McMahon.
  6. Befriended longtime rival, Sami Zayn.
  7. Brutally attacked Mr. McMahon.
  8. Won a jaw-dropping match at WWE Hell In A Cell, against Shane McMahon.
  9. Saved his job by winning his tag team match at WWE Clash of Champions.

The Prizefighter, Kevin Owens, begin the year as the WWE Universal Champion. He defended his title against Roman Reigns at WWE Royal Rumble in a no disqualification match. He also defended the title against Braun Strawman on the following night of Raw. Soon after ending his friendship with Chris Jericho, Owens lost his title to Goldberg at WWE Fastlane, ending his championship reign at 188 days.

Owens then went on to challenge Jericho for the WWE United States Championship at WWE Wrestlemania. At Wrestlemania, Owens emerged victorious and became the WWE United States Champion. At WWE Payback, Owens would lose the title back to Jericho, ending his reign at 28 days. However, Owens would reclaim his title back on the May 2 episode of SmackDown Live by defeating Jericho.

At WWE Backlash, Owens would defeat AJ Styles to successfully retain his title. During a house show at Madison Square Garden, Owens would lose the title to AJ Styles, ending his reign at 66 days. Owens defeated Styles in a rematch to capture the United States Championship for the 3rd time at WWE Battleground, but lost it back to AJ Styles again, two days later at WWE SmackDown Live.

Kevin Owens went on to have an amazing feud with SmackDown Live Commissioner, Shane McMahon. On the September 12 episode of SmackDown Live, Owens assaulted Mr. McMahon repeatedly. At WWE Hell In A Cell, Owens won the main event Hell In A Cell match against Shane McMahon after he was saved by Sami Zayn from a leap of faith off the top of the cell by Shane McMahon.

Owens then teamed up with Zayn at WWE Survivor Series, to defeat the team of Breezango. Later that night, the duo interfered in the main event to try and cost Team SmackDown the victory. Owens and Zayn then defeated Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura at WWE Clash of Champions, thus saving their place in the WWE.

#6 The Miz

Key Highlights:

  1. Top takedowns on the mic, whether it be John Cena, Roman Reigns or any superstar.
  2. Won the WWE Intercontinental Championship for the 7th time.
  3. Made the WWE Intercontinental Championship highly prevalent at Raw.
  4. Held the WWE Intercontinental Title for 169 days.

The Miz constantly proves why he is The Most Must-See WWE Superstar of All Time, and indeed he is. The Miz enjoyed a fun run in WWE in 2017.

The Miz entered the Royal Rumble at #15, and lasted 32 minutes until he was eliminated by The Undertaker.

His feud with John Cena during WrestleMania, was probably the one with the best promos between the two. His match at WWE Wrestlemania also marked the in-ring return of his wife, Maryse.

Following the Superstar shake-up, The Miz was drafted to Raw. At WWE Extreme Rules, The Miz defeated Dean Ambrose, to win the Intercontinental Championship for the 7th time. He then went on to defend the title against Ambrose again, at WWE Great Balls of Fire. At WWE SummerSlam, The Miz and The Miztourage defeated Jason Jordan and the Hardy Boyz in a six-man tag match.

The Miz continued to defend the title at WWE No Mercy, where he was victorious against Jason Jordan. The Miz then went on to main-event WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs in a 5-on-3 handicap match. He was also part of the Champion vs. Champion match at WWE Survivor Series as Raw's Intercontinental Champion.

However, The Miz dropped the title to Roman Reigns, on the November 20 episode of Raw, ending his title reign at 169 days.

#5 Jinder Mahal

Key Highlights:

  1. Became the #1 Contender for the WWE Championship, immediately upon arrival at SmackDown Live during the Superstar Shake-up.
  2. Pulled off one of the biggest upsets in WWE history, defeating Randy Orton for the WWE Championship
  3. Retained the title against Orton in two rematches.
  4. Survived a Money In The Bank contract cash-in from Baron Corbin.
  5. Retained the title twice against Shinsuke Nakamura.

Love him or hate him, 2017 has been the breakout year for The Modern Day Maharaja. Jinder Mahal established himself as one of the top competitors of WWE, putting out everyone's doubts along the way.

At WWE Wrestlemania, Jinder Mahal was the last superstar to be eliminated from the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. On the April 18 edition of SmackDown Live, Mahal won a 6-pack challenge to become the number one contender for the WWE Championship, with help from his new allies, The Singh Brothers.

Mahal would cost Randy Orton his match at WWE Payback against Bray Wyatt. He would then go on to win the WWE Championship by defeating Randy Orton at WWE Backlash, winning his first championship in the WWE and become the 50th recognized WWE Champion.

Mahal defeated Orton in his first title defence at WWE Money In The Bank. He would eventually defeat Orton again to retain the title at WWE Battleground, in a Punjabi Prison match, after interference from The Great Khali.

Jinder Mahal would also successfully defend his title after Baron Corbin would fail to cash-in his Money In The Bank contract. Mahal would then go on to face Shinsuke Nakamura at WWE SummerSlam, where The Modern Day Maharaja would retain the title. In a rematch at WWE Hell In A Cell, Mahal once again defeated Nakamura to continue his title reign.

Jinder Mahal would continue to hold the title for 170 days, before dropping it to AJ Styles on the November 7 episode of SmackDown Live.

#4 The Usos

Key Highlights:

  1. Won the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships, 3 times.
  2. First team to win both Raw Tag Team Championship (formerly WWE Tag Team Championship) and the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.
  3. Had numerous Match of The Year candidates against The New Day.
  4. Defeated Raw Tag Team Champions, Cesaro and Sheamus, in a Champion vs Champion match at WWE Survivor Series.

The Usos, have undoubtedly, proven time and time again why they are one of the bests in the ring together.

On the March 21st episode of SmackDown Live, The Usos defeated American Alpha to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championship, and as a result, became the first team to win both the Raw Tag Team Championship (formerly WWE Tag Team Championship) and the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

On the April 12th episode of SmackDown Live, The Usos were successful in their first title defence by defeating American Alpha in a rematch. At WWE Backlash, The Usos successfully defended their titles against Breezango. However, at WWE Battleground, The Usos lost the titles to The New Day, ending their 124-day title reign.

Not long after that, The Usos recaptured the titles back from The New Day at WWE SummerSlam, and became the first team to win the SmackDown Tag Team titles twice. They also became the first tag team since The Dudley Boyz in 2001 to become 4-time tag team champions. That reign ended on the September 12 edition of SmackDown Live, after they lost in a Sin City Street Fight, to The New Day.

At WWE Hell In A Cell, The Usos defeated The New Day to win the titles for the third time. They went on to defeat Raw Tag Team Champions, Cesaro and Sheamus at WWE Survivor Series, in an interbrand Champion vs Champion match.

#3 Alexa Bliss

Key Highlights:

  1. Became 4-time Women's Champion, earning 3 of her 4 reigns in 2017 alone.
  2. First Woman to win both Raw and SmackDown Women's Championships.
  3. Carried a title around her waist during every month in 2017.
  4. Defended her title against numerous top WWE Superstars including Becky Lynch, Bayley, Sasha Banks and Mickie James.

There wasn't a month in 2017 where Alexa Bliss wasn't carrying a title around her waist. She has been on a roll in the WWE and undoubtedly, has been the standout female superstar of 2017. She began the year by defending the SmackDown Women's Championship in a steel cage match against Becky Lynch, on the January 17 episode of SmackDown Live. However, soon after, Bliss lost the title to Naomi at WWE Elimination Chamber.

It was not long after that, Bliss regained the title for the second time, when she defeated Becky Lynch on February 21 episode of SmackDown Live, after Naomi had to vacate the title due to injury, thus becoming the first 2-time SmackDown Women's Champion. Bliss lost her second reign in a six-pack challenge at WWE Wrestlemania.

After her move to Raw during the Superstar Shakeup, Alexa Bliss went on to defeat Bayley at WWE Payback to win the Raw Women's Championship, becoming the first superstar to win both the Raw and SmackDown Women's Championships. She retained her title over Bayley in a kendo stick-on-a-pole match at WWE Extreme Rules.

Bliss then started a feud with Sasha Banks, with whom she successfully defended her title at WWE Great Balls of Fire. After losing the title to Banks at WWE SummerSlam, Bliss reclaimed her title 8 days later in the main event of Raw and became a 2-time Raw Women's Champion.

The Goddess went on to defend her title in a fatal 5-way match at WWE No Mercy. She also successfully defended her title at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs, against Mickie James.

Alexa Bliss ends 2017 as the Raw Women's Champion and the top female superstar in this list.

#2 Braun Strowman

The Monster Among Men
The Monster Among Men

Key Highlights:

  1. Flipped an ambulance with Roman Reigns inside.
  2. Survived getting crushed in a garbage truck.
  3. Launched Big Show through a steel cage.
  4. Superplexed Big Show that caused the ring to collapse.
  5. Drove Kane through the ring.
  6. Notable feud with Roman Reigns.
  7. Fought against Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Title.
  8. Sole survivor along with Triple H in the main event of WWE Survivor Series.
  9. Attacked Triple H after the match at WWE Survivor Series.

Strowman proved that he did not need a title around his waist to make 2017 his year. He began the year by winning a Last Man Standing Match against Sami Zayn on the January 2nd episode of Raw.

He got his first world championship shot, when he faced Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Title on the January 30th episode of Raw, which he won by disqualification after interference by Roman Reigns.

He had a long-running feud with Roman Reigns, thereafter. On the April 10th episode of Raw, Strowman attacked Reigns several times in the backstage area, to a point where he overturned an ambulance with Reigns inside. The next week on Raw, Strowman faced Big Show in the main event, in which he performed a superplex, causing the ring to collapse. He went on to defeat Roman Reigns at WWE Payback, and subsequently, defeated Reigns again at WWE Great Balls of Fire.

Strowman then went on to the main event of WWE SummerSlam for the WWE Universal title, in a Match of the Year candidate Fatal 4-way match, which he eventually lost. He also went on to face Brock Lesnar at WWE No Mercy for the title, but could not capture the title.

Braun Strowman then teamed with The Miz, Miztourage and Kane to face Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Kurt Angle in a 5-on-3 handicap match but was turned against by his own teammates. At WWE Survivor Series, Team Raw defeated Team SmackDown Live with Braun and Triple H being the sole survivors. After the match, Strowman attacked Triple H with two Running Powerslams.

2017 was indeed a monstrous year for Braun Strowman.

#1 AJ Styles

The Phenomenal One

Key Highlights:

  1. Begin 2017 as the WWE Champion.
  2. Notable Match of The Year against John Cena at WWE Royal Rumble.
  3. Stole the show at Wrestlemania, in his match against Shane McMahon.
  4. Held the WWE United States Title twice.
  5. Won the WWE Championship back, defeating Jinder Mahal in the main event of the Manchester episode of SmackDown Live.
  6. Ended 2017 as the WWE Champion.

There was a point when no one would have thought this man would make it in the WWE. He began and ended 2017 with the WWE Championship.

In the beginning of the year, AJ Styles held the WWE Championship, before losing it to John Cena in probably what was the Match of the Year, at the WWE Royal Rumble, ending his 140-day reign.

Styles was then involved in a feud with the SmackDown Live Commissioner, Shane McMahon, leading to their match at WWE Wrestlemania. At Wrestlemania, Styles stole the show and emerged victorious against Shane McMahon.

AJ Styles would then go on to challenge for the WWE United States Championship, which he won at a house show, at Madison Square Garden, where he defeated Kevin Owens for the title. This was his first United States title of his career. After losing the title back to Owens at WWE Battleground, Styles regained the title two days later at SmackDown Live, becoming a 2-time WWE United States Champion. At WWE SummerSlam, Styles successfully retained the title again, against Kevin Owens. Eventually, Styles lost the title to Baron Corbin, thus ending his 75-day reign.

Styles also competed in a Raw Pay-Per-View, WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs, against Finn Balor, replacing Bray Wyatt who was unable to compete at the event. Styles would begin a feud with WWE Champion, Jinder Mahal around the time. On the November 7 episode of SmackDown Live in Manchester, England, AJ Styles would go on to defeat Jinder Mahal in the main event, for the WWE Championship. It marked the first time the WWE Championship changed hands on SmackDown since September 2003. As a result, a classic bout was set up for WWE Survivor Series, between WWE Champion AJ Styles and WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, which Styles eventually lost after putting up an amazing match.

At WWE Clash of Champions, AJ Styles defeated Jinder Mahal to retain the title, thus finishing off the year, from the where he started, as the WWE Champion, and eventually, topping our list.
