3 Blunders WWE should not make on the RAW before Extreme Rules (8 July 2019)

RAW will be aiming to continue the momentum
RAW will be aiming to continue the momentum

We are just one week away from Extreme Rules, which is the next pay-per-view of WWE. Paul Heyman, who is the new Executive Director of RAW, delivered an impressive episode last week. The anticipation will be sky-high for the next edition of RAW.

The red brand had some exceptional segments last week. The Undertaker sent a message to Drew McIntyre and Shane McMahon, while AJ Styles shocked everyone by turning heel. Bobby Lashley and Braun Strowman were taken to the medical facility after the latter pushed the former through the LED board.

The next edition of RAW will be held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Andrade and Zelina Vega will be the Wild Card entrants this week as they will fight Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins in a Mixed Tag Team Match.

Six nights before Extreme Rules, Roman Reigns will team up with a mystery partner to take on Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre. The red brand will be eyeing to continue the good momentum this week.

Here we discuss three blunders WWE shouldn't make on RAW this week.

#3 Dragging the storyline of Maria Kanellis and Mike Kanellis

Mike Kanellis, who made his RAW debut last week, had a forgettable night. The team of Mike Kanellis and Maria Kanellis fought the team of Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins in a Mixed Tag Team Match. The champions picked up an easy victory as Mike Kanellis tapped out to Becky Lynch.

Interestingly, Maria Kanellis announced her pregnancy in the middle of the match. Following the match, Maria delivered a bizarre segment to humiliate her husband. It was certainly a fatuous segment which didn't make sense. Moreover, it was not beneficial for either of the two Superstars. We will be hoping that Maria and Mike will not continue the storyline this week.

#2 No RAW Tag Team Championship Match at Extreme Rules

The SmackDown Tag Team Championship will be defended at Extreme Rules where Daniel Bryan and Rowan will defend the twin belts against Heavy Machinery and New Day. It is unclear if the RAW Tag Team Championship will be on the line at Extreme Rules as no match has been announced. Six nights before Extreme Rules, a RAW Tag Team Championship match should be announced on RAW.

The RAW Tag Team division is in serious jeopardy as the twin belts haven't been defended in pay-per-views regularly. The previous champions Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins didn't defend the titles at Money in the Bank and Super ShowDown. The Revival didn't put the belts on the line at Stomping Grounds.

The RAW Tag Team Championship will start to lose credibility if Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder don't defend the twin belts at Extreme Rules. Therefore, WWE could plan a multi-team Tag Team match to decide the number one challengers of the Revival at Extreme Rules.

#1 Allow Gallows and Anderson to interfere in the United States Championship match

Though the US Championship match is not confirmed for Extreme Rules, the company could announce it on RAW this week. AJ Styles and Ricochet faced each other twice in last two weeks and they are expected to cross paths at Extreme Rules. Styles shocked everyone last week when he turned heel and decimated the current US Champion.

Gallows and Anderson, who also attacked Ricochet last week, are involved in this rivalry. Since the Club is reunited, it will be interesting to see if Gallows and Anderson help Styles to win the US Championship. Considering Ricochet and Styles already faced each other in two regular matches, a stipulation could be added at Extreme Rules.

The two men are dexterous in the ring and they could tear the house down at Extreme Rules, nevertheless, the interference of Gallows and Anderson could diminish the quality of the match. Hence, WWE should make an announcement to ban the two men from the ringside at Extreme Rules.
