It is very clear that Kevin Owens is groomed to be the next Stone Cold Steve Austin. Not only does the man stand up against authority but he also uses the Stunner as his finishing move as well. Anyone who has followed the career of Stone Cold Steve Austin knows that his career just skyrocketed after he won the King of the Ring tournament in 1996.
Kevin Owens has all the tools that it takes to be the Stone Cold Steve Austin or the closest thing to it that the current era will allow. He even has Vince McMahon's son Shane to feud with, and mind you this was the program that helped WWE defeat WCW in the Monday Night Wars. All of the ingredients are in place for Owens to become the face of the new era, leading the charge against the authority.
But maybe all of it needs to begin with a King of the Ring victory and a legendary promo to follow it as it did for Stone Cold Steve Austin.
