Most forgettable Championship reign?

Where did it all go wrong?

Bray Wyatt was by far the most interesting character WWE had in years. The profit of a backwoods cult, Bray's stirring promo's and general creepiness made for very entertaining television.

After a good run with NXT, The Wyatt Family debuted on WWE TV in the summer of 2013, and booking of Bray has been mostly a failure ever since. While he has had some strong outings in some decent feuds, he has always seemed to have lost the big matches.

His promo's eventually started to sound the same every week and dream feuds with Dean Ambrose and The Undertaker fell flat.

It seemed like after every failure, WWE would try bounce him back in feuds with John Cena, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, but they all ended the same with more big losses for the Eater of Worlds.

And let's be honest, if Bray Wyatt hadn't been the defending WWE Champion at WrestleMania 33, we would all have probably forgotten he held it.

Yes, Bray was one of the more deserving contenders in WWE to become WWE Champion, and his winning of it should have been an incredible accomplishment, but by the time he did win it, no one seemed to care about his booking anymore and his reign would only last a month before he lost it to Randy Orton at WrestleMania during their interminable feud.

After falling down the card and almost wrestling in drag as a 'Sister Abigail' persona, Bray entered a much hoped for feud with 'Woken' Matt Hardy.

After being thrown by Matt into the Lake of Reincarnation after The Ultimate Deletion, Bray has since re-emerged as Matt's partner. The partnership may be keeping Bray on TV every week, but as a character, it seems to be going nowhere, as does the career of Bray Wyatt.

One would hope that the team will come to an end soon and hopefully, Bray can transfer back over to SmackDown where he may be potentially put to better use, as long as it is not with Orton.

I don't think all hope is lost for Bray, but it is up to WWE to bring him back to his backwoods cult persona, followed by a winning streak and then maybe, just maybe he could re-enter the WWE Championship picture in a more serious way.
