The duo of Trent Barreta and Chuck Taylor has had two matches at the first of AEW's two shows. They won both and might be positioned as either the promotion's first tag team champs or a team that will be in the match for the belts.

After Barreta and Taylor defeated Angelico and Jack Evans at Double or Nothing, both teams were attacked by a mysterious team flanked by many masked men. In the following days, it was revealed to the world that the new team was known as the Dark Order.

They called out the rest of the teams in AEW in the build to Fyter Fest but they did not have a match booked for the event. But after Best Friends won the Triple Threat match with SCU and Private Party, the Dark Order made their presence felt once again.

As Barreta and Taylor celebrated their win in the ring, the Dark Order appeared on the big screen and said that their quest was starting with the team in AEW that was now 2-0. The arena went black once and the minions surrounded it. Things went black again and the minions were gone. It's apparent that these two teams will be facing off in the near future.
