#1 MJF vs. Hangman Page

Before and during the four-man match at Fyter Fest, it was apparent that two men could win the match and two men were in the match to take the pin. The two most logical winners were MJF and Adam Page. Page is in the title match at All Out, so he wasn't going to lose. And MJF is one of the best mic workers and heels in the company so neither of them were going to lose.

The two men did square off and literally stood with their faces pressed against each other at one point in the match. It is something that is usually done in multi-man matches to tease things for the future. After Page picked up the win, MJF almost came back into the ring to confront him. He decided against it and walked away.

Friedman then did his usual blasting of his enemies in the post-show scrum, including Page. Because both men are being positioned as top young stars in the company, neither man will take many pin-falls.

The two encounters both during and after the match were also a piece of foreshadowing. The two men will face off against each other at some point this year and it will be with the AEW World Title on the line after Page likely tops Jericho at All Out.
