#2 Husband who defeated his wife: Edge

Edge won the 2010 Royal Rumble where Beth Phoenix was an entrant

Unlike the previous couples and the couple succeeding it, Edge and Beth Phoenix didn't have an altercation with each other when they battled it out at the 2010 Royal Rumble.

After the Great Khali took out CM Punk momentarily with his Vice Grip, he went face to face with Beth Phoenix. The Punjabi Playboy tried to show his gentlemen side when he requested the Glamazon to eliminate herself rather than throwing her over the top rope.

However, Beth Phoenix had known the Giant's weak point and began kissing him on the lips whilst being at the edge of the squared circle. The Great Khali lost his senses and got himself eliminated. It looked as if CM Punk would follow the suit when Beth put him on a fireman's carry position, but the Straight Edge Warrior reversed it into a GTS and eliminated her.

Edge entered the match with a thunderous ovation as the 29th entrant and took out Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels and John Cena with back-to-back spears.

After throwing Y2J and Cena off the top rope, the Rated R Superstar won the 2010 Royal Rumble and challenged Chris Jericho for a World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania 26.
