Money in the Bank is merely weeks away now and the matches for the show are shaping up with the men and women's competitors announced this week for WWE's annual ladder matches, as well as an interesting grudge match between Shane McMahon and The Miz inside a steel cage.
The fall out from WrestleMania has been somewhat sporadic with the Superstar Shake-Up taking place over the past few weeks and the build up to Money in the Bank taking center stage, which could be why some stars have had issues with botches as part of recent Raw shows.
Last night on Raw, once again there were a number of stand out botches between some of the company's biggest stars and here are some of the most noticeable ones.
#3. Rey Mysterio joins the botch list once again
Rey Mysterio took on Samoa Joe this week on Raw after already losing to the Samoan Submission Machine at WrestleMania in record time, but his fortunes seem to be changing since he was able to pin Joe following a roll up.
The issue here is the fact that Samoa Joe was under the ropes when the referee made the count, so it's unknown as to why the referee didn't react and tell Mysterio that it wasn't a legal pin, or why Joe didn't just grab on to the rope that was inches away from his fingers.
Whether or not this was part of the plan and Joe will now claim that Mysterio didn't actually pin him because it wasn't a legal pin still remains to be seen, but interestingly WWE didn't show any replays of the finish or share them online from different angles, which shows that the ending was obviously one that wasn't intended.
#2. Becky Lynch And Lacey Evans Brawl
This week on Monday Night Raw wasn't the first time that Becky Lynch and Lacey Evans' feud boiled over into a brawl since it was the way their feud began the night after WrestleMania. Luckily, this time around Evans was able to put on wrestling attire and not split her dress, but it still wasn't much better than the original brawl.
Evans and Lynch had to be separated by referees and officials from the backstage area as the two women once again looked to hit hard ahead of their Money in the Bank showdown. However, on numerous occasions, the referees weren't actually holding the two women away from each other and Lynch's punches were all over the place.
It wasn't the best brawl from two women who will be representing the entire division in less than three weeks' time.
#1. Alexa Bliss' shoes cost her the match
Alexa Bliss was announced as one of the Money in the Bank participants in the female's ladder match this week on Raw, but the former Champion was then goaded into a match against Naomi where her shoes actually cost her the match.
Of course, this was WWE's plan to have Bliss beaten in a way that wouldn't affect her ahead of the show where she is already a former Miss Money In The Bank, but when Bliss came out originally to announce the men's Money in the Bank ladder match participants, she was wearing the same shoes and the laces were tucked out of the way.
Bliss later obviously untucked her laces as part of this segment and rather than keep trying to fasten them, The Goddess could have just tucked them inside once again, which made it even more obvious that this was supposed to happen.
